HotCar Buzz: Passat CC
The Volkswagen Phaeton, the brainchild of Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piech, was an engineering marvel. A hand assembled masterpiece, the Phaeton was capable of driving at 190 mph, in 122 degree weather, whilst maintaining an interior temperature of 72 degrees, for 24 hours.

I remember the first time I laid eyes on my buddy Steve’s 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. I loved that car; it looked, purposeful, like it was blazing down the highway even when it was standing still.

The current version of the R8 is absolutely amazing, and I should know, as I’ve spent some of the more exhilerating hours of my life behind the wheel of Audi’s supercar, zipping around New Jerseys Delaware Watergap this summer. It’s not your traditional supercar.

Staring directly into H.I.D headlamps is something we here at HotCars don’t recommend, which is why the nifty aftermarket auto dimming mirrors that have started to flood the market have us excited. Auto-dimming mirrors or electro chromic (EC) mirrors significantly reduce glare from the headlamps of following traffic.
