Dodge Demon

Dodge’s new concept car, the Demon, has a sporty combination of dynamically placed curves and planes. At first glace it could be easily mistaken for such cars as the Honda S2000, Saturn Sky, Mazda MX-5, Pontiac Solstice, or maybe even a the pricier Viper… but in all reality, the Demon is just one stiff, well-blended cocktail of Dodge’s own design.

A stealthy front end harnesses Dodges truck like signature “crosshair” grille, while the headlamps and hood give the roadster an angry “demon-like” expression. The profile of the Dodge Demon, utilizing the Viper as a muse, is lean in front and bit more muscular in the back.

With squared-off wheel openings and a backwards-plummeting beltline, the taillights and rear of the car remarkably parallel the back end of the Audi TT.

In contrast to the exterior, the Demon’s interior is simple, black, and practically production-ready. Familiar yet modern, primary controls and gauges graphically inspired by sports watches are encapsulated in a cross-car brushed aluminum bezel. All other secondary controls are hidden below the bezel for full functionality.

An 2.4 liter engine producing 172-hp and 165 pound ft of torque, and mated to a 6 speed manual transmission, propels the Demon to its 130 mph top speed.

Chances for the Demon to be mass-produced are quite high, as Dodge does not have an affordable-roadster of this category in their line-up.
