Similar to the Crown Victoria concept released about five years ago, Thomas Freeman, Director of the North American Strategic Design team says that, “The Ford Interceptor is a pure sedan that speaks to performance car lovers everywhere.”

With a three-bar chrome front grille that mimics last years pickup concept, the F-250 Super Chief, the Interceptor has a look that according to American Executive Design Director, “combines the “Built Ford Tough” attitude with the sporty elegance of 60’s Ford sedans.”

The car’s interior also encompasses a similar air, with vents mounted in the black leather bucket seats, a long front to back center console, and a creatively designed steering wheel. The sedan has four doors and seems be a preview of a possible competitor for the Chrysler 300, raising the bar especially when it comes down to what’s under the hood.

A 400-hp 5.0-Liter V-8 Cammer engine capable of running on E-85 ethanol awaits ignition below a muscular clamshell “shaker” lid. With massive 22-inch chrome rims attached to a solid 201.8 wheelbase, the Interceptor has a proportionally traditional rear-wheel drive ratio.
