Despite us moving ever more into the digital age, there is still a use for magazines. There isn’t anything like the feeling of having a proper publication in your hands to read, and it's much easier going on the eyes than staring at a screen for a couple of hours. Creating a magazine is an art in itself, especially car magazines, getting the right photos in for example. And Eric Yui has created an automotive magazine, but with a twist.

Video Game Evolution

Thanks to the evolution of video games and how realistic the graphics are, it is entirely plausible to make said game look real. So Eric has taken Forza Horizon 4 and used Adobe Photoshop to create this unreal automotive magazine. And he has even gone to the trouble of adding in-magazine adverts. Make no mistake about it. This is a full-on magazine.

Impressive Attention To Detail

via Yumpu/Eric Yui

You are greeted with adverts from Porsche and BMW before getting into an editorial page. Yes, this magazine is very in-depth! There is a full contents page for “Evo” magazine as well as page numbers in the bottom corners. There is a full review of the McLaren 720S Spider, and unless you looked really hard, you probably would not be able to tell that these are video game images and actual photographs that have been taken in real life. This is one fantastic magazine concept, but it is not entirely a work of fiction.

An Entire Evo Magazine’s Length

via Yumpu/Eric Yui

Evo magazine is a real-life publication and it has been replicated in exacting detail here. How many pages has Eric done? The full 78. We did say it was a full magazine! There is a fantastic review of the Hyundai Veloster N, and because the Forza Horizon 4 game has been set in the UK, the magazine goes for a British feel and style. The McLaren Speedtail is also featured, which is the true successor to the McLaren P1. There is even an “Evo Car Of The Decade” section with real-life judges featured such as Top Gear host Chris Harris and racing legend Marino Franchitti. This is a fantastic work of art.
