It sparked me to do a little research.. and after hitting up serveral sites and reading dozens of threads.. it appears that Cobra detectors are UTTER CRAP!! They have a stron tendency to set OFF other detectors, appearing as actual radar transmitters. Weird huh?<br /> Apparently Whistler has a much higher performance for the buck, if you want a cheapo.. however, you still want to spend about 100-150 for their higher end XTR or Pro models. While not great, they rank pretty well considering the price.<br /> I am shocked at how bad Cobras are though - thought others should be aware! It's hard to drift with AWD such as Ironman's S60R or my GT however its still possible. We did take a spin and I must admit the exsperiaence was phenominal. The acceleration, combined with the handling is unrivialed. BMW has incorporated their Heads-Up display into the windsheild which is very interesting.
