The last James Bond film released in 2015 – Spectre – indeed left a long-lasting image of a suave and classy British spy. While Agent 007 managed to escape the robotic drill, something else from that movie actually did survive, too -- the impeccable 2015 Land Rover Defender 110. Now, this movie star will be up for auction. Let's give it a look.

Sam Mendes, who directed this 24th James Bond film series, actually used 10 Land Rover Defenders as a getaway vehicle for a more menacing look. Silverstone Auctions will be selling one of these Defenders in an online auction that is scheduled for May 23rd. The auction house is assuring interested buyers that this modified Defender is in mint condition.

While most cars used in this action film genre would end up severely banged up, such isn’t the case with this SUV. In fact, of the 10 Defenders used in the shooting, seven survived while three were completely destroyed. Interestingly, Silverstone’s Land Rover Defender is the only stunt car that remained undamaged. Moreover, it looked nearly new since it was used for drive-by filming only.

The men behind Spectre regarded the standard Land Rover Defender 110 a bit too dull to pull off harsh actions in the film. So, 10 Defenders were sent to Bowler Motorsport for some needed modifications. This modified Defender rides on massive 37-inch tires with suspension upgrades and Bilstein rally dampers. Likewise, it features a heavy-duty roll cage and a hydraulic hand brake.

This model isn't registered in the UK, but its current owner believes that the vehicle can be registered and undergo MOT testing if the hydraulic hand brake is disconnected. Until then, this Land Rover Defender 110 can’t be driven legally on the road.
