They are the envy of the world and belong to the 1%. Paparazzi follow them everywhere to capture what they are wearing, who they are dating and what they are talking about. They are the elite group whose lives we can only dream about. Actors live in mansions, date models and party around the world; something most of us have never done. But, is it possible that we match up to these gods or maybe even surpass in them certain spheres? Well, it may just be possible.

While fancy cars are synonymous with movie stars, there are some actors who do not have the time to shop around for a supercar or do not have a lavish taste. Either way, some actors drive pickups that would make the middle-class cringe. Sure, there are actors who drive the latest models and show them off on their social media pages, they are included in our list but so are the ones who drive the cars we do.

We understand that not everyone has great taste or values cars, but we expected more from some of the featured actors. Others on the list drive the pickups we are saving up for and make us green with envy. Buckle up as we explore actors who drive some of the nicest pickups while some drive the ones that bring them down to our level.

17 Scott Caan - Nice

via Motor Authority

Caan is not the biggest Hollywood name on our list, but he has made a name for himself by acting in Varsity Blues, Ocean’s Eleven and the joyride movie Gone In 60 Seconds. While we were expecting Caan to drive something along the lines of the speedsters that he drove in Gone In 60 Seconds, perhaps the Porsche he stole in the movie, he has not let us down with his preference in pickup trucks.

Caan owns a vintage blue Ford that he proudly parades wherever he goes.

The Hawaii Five-O actor does not use the pickup only to move furniture around. He is glad to show off the bright blue classic when going to the grocery store. The car is a 1939 model and is a ¾ ton truck with a V-8 engine and weighs 2752 lbs, according to Concept Carz. Although the car is considered a classic, its price does not suggest that it is. The average price of the 1939 model is roughly $1000. Besides the affordable price, Caan has made a good choice in pickups and has looked well after the vehicle. When the time comes to sell, we are confident that Caan will be able to get more than a $1000 for his baby.

16 Jon Huertas - Nice

via Truck Trend

Huertas plays a cop on ABC’s ‘Castle,’ a detective series based in New York. In the program, Huertas drives a Ford Crown Victoria, which is the standard police vehicle. When it involves personal car choices, Huertas has not deviated too much from the car his character drives. His personal car is a 1960 Ford F-100. Huertas says it is his dream car that he wanted since he was a kid. When he bought the car, he decided to drive it everywhere he went as he thought the car would go to waste if unused. The former Generation Kill star bought the vehicle in 2003 and had put a lot of work into it. He says that he uses the car these days for a Sunday drive but has invested time and energy into maintaining it. The car was originally a seafoam green and white, but Huertas painted it apple green and white. The car has a 292 ci Y-block V-8 engine, twin Vortech V1, and a Tremec T5 transmission. Considering that Huertas has done a tremendous amount of work to bring it to its near-perfect condition and maintained it throughout the years, his purchase goes into the nice pickup category.

15 Shia LaBeouf - Nice

We watched him kiss Megan Fox in Transformers and star opposite Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The 31-year old actor has starred in Disturbia and has dated Mia Goth since 2012. If all of that was not enough to make us jealous, LaBeouf has shown to have good taste in cars, as well. The young actor owns a Ford F-150 and not an old model such as some of the actors featured in the article. LaBeouf is just one of the many actors who has a strong liking for Ford cars. Other actors include Brad Pitt and Scott Eastwood. Unfortunately for LaBeouf, he has not been able to enjoy his F-150 since his accident. Following the accident, LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving when he collided with another vehicle at a junction in the early hours of a Sunday morning. The actor was hospitalized, and the police impounded his pickup. Nevertheless, LaBeouf is fine and has decided to buy another pickup to make up for the carnage Ford that has been written-off. He has opted for a Chevy Silverado, instead. Both of the cars get our thumbs up.

14 Amber Marshall - Nice

via Auto Trader

Marshall is best known for her role as Amy Fleming on the CBC series Heartland. She is also a singer and lives the cowgirl lifestyle, which is evident by her cowgirl hat and choice in pickups. Marshall lives on a farm and has driven a 2006 RAM for several years.

When she upgraded, she did not opt for a Ford or a Chevy to get a different perspective. Instead, Marshall bought a 2014 RAM 3500 according to Auto Trader.

She says that she did not take a chance with a Ford or a Chevy as it is best to stick with what you know. Marshall, also, states that she still loves her 2006 model and has kept it as a backup truck. The 2014 model has 385 horsepower and a top speed of 103 mph. With a 5.7-liter V-8 engine, it is easy to understand why Marshall decided to stick with RAM. We agree with her if she says that the car has power and is a heavy-duty vehicle, but we wonder how she looks behind the wheel of such a beast. The RAM 3500 overpowers Marshall’s 5 ft 4 stature. All that matters is the taste of the driver in pickups, and Marshall has made a good choice.

13 Channing Tatum - Nice

His performance in Magic Mike left his female fans in awe, but Tatum has something, also, in store for the guys. The 21 Jump Street actor was driving around Los Angeles in a 1957 3100 Chevrolet pickup truck, according to Daily Mail. The old pickup is a classic and comes with a hefty price tag. A 1957 model with low mileage is on the market for around $50000. Considering that Tatum has been in a string of successful movies, he can afford to whip out that much cash for a classic. The truck is a ½ ton short-bed pickup and can lug 1000 pounds in its bed. The car’s top speed is 60 mph, has 140 horsepower and a 0-60 time in 20 seconds. It may not be the fastest truck on the road but its chrome plated bumpers, wheel covers and big windshields make it a true classic that most men wish to get their hands on. Tatum’s truck is in a pristine condition and the dark green color accentuates the car’s classic look. The car gets our stamp of approval for one of the nicest pickups.

12 Ben Affleck - Nice

Is there anything in the world that Ben Affleck cannot have? He is best friends with Matt Damon, has dated Jennifer Lopez and been married to Jennifer Garner, not to mention winning an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and playing Batman. It turns out that Affleck has good choice in cars, too. If that was not enough to make us jealous, he can afford them, as well. He has been seen speeding down the suburbs in a black Dodge Ram.

According to Car and Drive, the new Dodge Ram has 410 horsepower, 0-60 in 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 104 mph.

Mr. Affleck seems to be a fan of Dodges. He also bought a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat two weeks after splitting from his wife. Affleck is not shy to show it off, either. He has been seen driving the car all over town. Although the actor got divorced last year, we are certain he feels better knowing that he can buy cars that most of us cannot afford. Even if Garner got the Dodge in the divorce settlement, Affleck could replace it with another 10, just to prove a point.

11 Josh Duhamel - Nice

via Auto Evolution

When you have played a soldier in Transformers who has gone up against cars that transform into robots, you are not afraid to get your hands dirty. When off-screen, Duhamel uses his GMC Sierra Denali to get his hands dirty by transporting furniture. It does come in handy for those types of chores. Duhamel has chosen a strong car since the Sierra Denali is a 5.3-liter V-8 with an 8-speed automatic transmission. He is such a fan of the pickup that the manufacturer has taken notice. In honor of the Military Appreciation month, GMC has requested Duhamel’s services as a campaign ambassador to support Building For America’s Bravest program. With Duhamel’s involvement, GMC plans to increase the awareness and raise funds for courageous service members who have been injured. When asked why he decided to support the cause, Duhamel stated that he has strong ties to the military and the GMC brand, the manufacturer reported. Who would have thought that driving a pickup could result in helping the less fortunate? We can see why Duhamel is such a fan of the car. Earlier this year at the North American International Auto Show, the car won the Billet Piston award for Pickup Truck of the Year.

10 Dwayne Johnson - Nice

via pinterest

Big, strong and aggressive may be good adjectives to describe The Rock, but those words are good descriptions for his car, also. When you are one of the best-paid movie stars in Hollywood, you can drive any car you want. While we were expecting him to buy a Ferrari or a Subaru to personify his Fast and Furious character, Johnson has chosen the Ford F-150 as his preference. Johnson’s F-150 is not like any other on the road as his is custom built. The car does look like a beast that is intimidating like The Rock’s 6 ft 3 stature. According to Car and Drive, the F-150 goes from 0 - 60 in 5.9 seconds and is 231.9 inches in length. The car is a full-size pickup that is consistently ranked as one of the best pickups. Although it might not be a sports car, Johnson has chosen a pickup that makes many men wish they had the budget to pimp their pickups to look like his. For his custom-built efforts and choice of vehicle, Johnson is one of the Hollywood actors who has taste when it involves choosing a stylish pickup. After all, we were not expecting The Rock to squeeze into a Mini.

9 Tim Allen - Nice

via alt_driver

Throughout the years, Allen has built up an impressive resume in Hollywood by starring in the popular Toy Story movies, Wild Hogs and Santa Clause. His popular show Home Improvement had earned him $1.25 million per episode. Besides the acting resume, he has also built up a reputation for having exceptional taste in cars.

One of Allen’s favorite cars is his 1956 Ford F-100.

Originally, the car was purchased as a joke since it goes against Allen’s self-imposed restriction on hot rods, according to Hot Rod. But, the tool man says he was dubious to purchase the car when he saw it at a Scottsdale auction as it appeared to be a big tire machine. Allen says he has never been fond of tubbed stuff but decided to purchase the classic for a whopping $78000. The Toy Story actor says he loves the car after having modified it and giving it hemi power. Allen’s purchase reminds us why it feels so good to be a Hollywood actor who can buy the classics we drool over when it rumbles past. At that staggering price, we hope he is enjoying the vehicle. Tim Allen’s 1956 beauty is classified into our coveted category.

8 Kid Rock - Nice

He is known as the bad boy who took country and rock music and made it cool. Rock won the American Music Award in 2001 for Best Pop/Rock Male Artist and had been nominated numerous times for other music awards. Besides the music, Rock has done his fair share of dabbling in acting. He starred opposite David Spade in Joe Dirt, as well as making an appearance in Biker Boyz. To be congruent with his bad boy image, Rock drives a custom built Rocky Ridge GMC Sierra Pickup Truck. Many celebrities consider the car to be the pinnacle in the world of custom-built trucks. Other celebrities that drive the car include Luke Bryan and Chase Elliott. According to PR Web, the car has a 6 inch Rocky Ridge Suspension Lift Kit, Black 20 inch Havoc off-road wheels and 35 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Tires. With a car like this, Kid Rock’s bad boy image will be proliferated while we swoon over such a majestic pickup. Besides looking like a mountain, the car has an impressive 5.3-liter V-8 engine. Rock was unsatisfied as he added a 2.9-liter Twin-Screw Supercharger to enable the car to gallop with 557 horsepower.

7 Christian Bale

via Auto Parts Toys

The Dark Knight is a force to be reckoned with and drives the Batmobile, best described as a military Lamborghini. While he may be intimidating on screen, we were expecting Batman to live up to the vigilante persona off-screen, as well. We were wrong. Although Bale was congruent with the dark color for his personal vehicle, we were expecting him to drive something more macho than an older model of Toyota Tacoma. The 2018 Tacoma is a force to be reckoned with as it has a 3.5-liter V-6 engine with 6-speed automatic transmission and a top speed of 113 mph according to Car and Driver. But Bale has opted for the 2013 model, which does not live up to the expectation we have for Batman. While Bale may get credit for not being materialistic, he does not score points for living up to the vigilante persona off-screen. We will give Bale some credit. After all, the Toyota Tacoma is one of the vehicles that has the best resale value and tough exterior, so you do not have to worry about any damage while driving off-road.

6 John Goodman

via US News & World Report

He is the Golden Globe Award winner for best actor and has had an acting career spanning for more than 40 years. Goodman has provided us with innumerable laughs throughout his 10-year appearance on one of the best sitcoms in TV history. The latest joke that Goodman has tickled our funny bones is with his pickup truck. The actor is not short of money to afford the latest model but seems to have not forgotten his days of playing the modest Dan Conner on Roseanne, as his choice of pickups is a 2000 Ford F-150, according to Ford Trucks. Although the vehicle is old, it has a 4.2-liter V-6 engine. The car also has 205 horsepower and 5-speed manual transmission. That should be enough power to satisfy Roseanne. Since he is regarded as one of the best actors of all-time, we have to give credit to Mr. Goodman for remaining humble in his choice of vehicle, but we do encourage him to look at the latest models, as newer is always better. Since Roseanne has revived a new season of the popular sitcom, it is out with the old and in with the new. The same philosophy should be applied to Mr. Goodman’s truck.

5 Sean Penn

via Daily Mail

What could we possibly say about Sean Penn that is not complimentary? The successful actor has starred in terrific movies such as Mystic River and I Am Sam. He was married to Madonna and has dated a vast array of beautiful women, including Charlize Theron. Besides having good taste in women, Penn has made an unusual choice in pickups. He has been spotted cruising around Hollywood in a Nissan Titan. Besides not being a top of the range pickup truck, Penn did his best to diminish the value of the vehicle when he damaged the backlights. Although the actor has won Oscars for Best Actor, he has opted for an older model of a Nissan Titan. We thought that after the accident Penn would trade in the old model for something new. We have yet to see the progress on that matter. Then again, maybe Penn is old school and prefers to keep things simple? Since most of us are unable to have Charlize Theron, at least we can take pleasure in knowing that we can own an old model of a Nissan Titan. Maybe we can afford to buy his one, considering it is damaged.

4 James Denton

via Motor Trend

He has starred alongside Teri Hatcher in Desperate Housewives and Catherine Bell in the Good Witch. Being born in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, we are not surprised that Denton owns a pickup. According to Motor Trend, Denton’s first car was a 1986 Subaru XT Turbo, a surprising contrast to the pickup Denton owns.

Before he became known to TV audiences worldwide as Mike Delfino in the popular series Desperate Housewives, Denton bought a 1966 Ford F-250.

The actor says he used the beloved car for daily driving to the set. He also claims that he prefers a standard shift as opposed to an automatic. Denton says that the 1966 model has four gears, but according to him, the car has what he terms as granny gears, which disables him from using the first gear. It was in 1999 that Denton bought the car from a mechanic and has not looked back. Taking into account that Denton has been on our screens for several years, we were expecting him to drive a more sophisticated vehicle. Although Denton’s car may be regarded as a classic due to the year it was manufactured, Ford has better models than the 1966 which fall into the classic category.

3 Clint Eastwood

via pinterest

Clint Eastwood is a legendary actor who has graced the screens in classic movies such as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Dirty Harry and The Outlaw Josey Wales. He has been active in Hollywood since 1954 and is considered by many to be a tough son of a gun. The word classic is synonymous with Eastwood due to his appearance in epic movies, but the word can be attached to Eastwood’s choice in cars. The only problem is that his classic car is labeled so because of its age, rather than its coveted appearance. Eastwood drives a GMC Typhoon. When Eastwood appeared on the Jimmy Fallon, the host was aghast to discover what Dirty Harry drives. The car was originally produced in 1992 and has a 4.3-liter engine. When the host questioned Eastwood about his purchase, the actor was quick to defend the car by saying that it is fast because it has a V-6 turbo. While that may be true, it could be time to leave the past where it belongs and choose a vehicle that is more modern considering the manufacturer halted the production of the car in 1993. We think Dirty Harry would look better in a new pickup.

2 Robert Pattinson

via Gala.de

Pattinson had seen his fair share of glitz and glamour when Twilight was a mega-hit saga and has taste in women. But, there is nothing glamorous about his choice in vehicles. It seems as if Stewart’s bad taste in pickups is contagious and had affected Pattison while they were dating. The star was pictured driving an old Chevy Silverado while moving some of his belongings.

Indeed, the new models of the Chevy Silverado are considered to be strong and one of the most dependable pickup trucks on the road. The 2018 model is known for its heavy towing ability and fuel economy.

But, that is not what Pattinson has chosen. His old clunker looks as if it would fall apart while towing an empty trailer. Pattinson bought this red 2001 Silverado for $2500 on Craigslist. He seems to have an affinity for driving old cars and buying them on the side of the road, as he peruses classifieds in search of old cars to avoid the media attention of being spotted in a supercar. Bad news for Robert is that his bad car purchases have attracted more attention than his good ones. On second thought, has he made any good choices in cars?

1 Kristen Stewart

via Daily Mail

While Jacob may transform into a wolf to fight for his darling Bella in Twilight, he would run away if he saw her choice in pickups. Stewart was the envy of all girls around the world as her romance with Robert Patterson blossomed on screen, as well as off-screen, when the Twilight saga was at its peak. Now that the spotlight has been dimmed, it seems as if Stewart’s taste in pickups has also dwindled. On a particularly sunny afternoon, Stewart chose an old, blue Toyota pickup to drive around the block. During the drive, Stewart made a stop at the gas station to fill up as the ancient vehicle probably had holes in the tank. After filling up, she drove the car to a restaurant to give the valets a good laugh, as she felt they were bored. After lunch, Stewart towed the car back to her place as it would not start. Certainly, Toyota is a good choice in a pickup, but Kristen could have chosen something better like a Hilux or a Land Cruise instead of the old jalopy. We wonder if the same girls would be jealous of Stewart’s pickup.
