With the public finding it more and more difficult to keep their sanity while we're all stuck at home, we thought it would be an excellent time to help you find some fantastic automotive content on Netflix. Each title we discuss will have a short review so you can get some idea of what it contains. Also, we'll snuff out 5 shows you can skip so you don't waste your time.

After taking a look, I'd love to know what your favorite automotive show on Netflix is. Perhaps I missed one that you think should've been included. So sit back, take a breath, and soon you'll have forgotten all about Tiger King while you're enjoying 10 incredible shows perfectly suited to you. Let's begin.

15 Skip It: Car Masters: Rust To Riches

Following in the footsteps of the always fledgling tv show "Overhaulin", Car Masters has taken a similar storyline and revamped it with a few small changes. While there are flashes in the pan of good storytelling and interesting automotive trivia, the majority of the show is fluff without real substance. Because of those factors, I'd say skip it.

14 Skip It: Rust Valley Restorers

Take everything I said about Car Masters and apply it to this but add in the most palpable fake drama you could imagine. Netflix itself actually describes this as "goofy". That's not particularly interesting to those of us that want the cars, not the random reality stars, highlighted. Skip it with extreme prejudice.

13 Skip It: West Coast Customs

via cnn.com

I'm not sure why West Coast Customs has been able to sustain their popularity but surely there must be a market for overindulgent and useless tech in random automobiles. For instance, there's an entire episode of the series dedicated to a hotdog cart and Best Buy.

It's not that they don't do cool things to cool car sometimes, it's that it's so few and far between. Also, you'll practically never see them improve a cars' performance in anything but vanity.

12 Skip It: The Gentleman Driver

This one was a close call. The documentary is interesting to a degree but reading between the lines it just seems like one more chance for these guys with far more money than driving skill to tell us about how rich they are.

Additionally, their lives are hard guys, because they're very important to their race teams. Feel bad for them ok? No really, that's the thing they'd like you to take away. It was fun watching one of them botch a sure win on the last lap though.

11 Skip It: Paul Hollywoods Big Continental Road Trip

via decider

This photo perfectly sums up the series. A dude who clearly thinks a lot of himself traveling on the production companies budget and sometimes talking about a car that is at most just a set-piece.

I think if you're trying to get someone else into cars like your husband or girlfriend then sure, this could give them a little taste of good things in the automotive world, but only then is it worth any time.

10 You Don't Want To Miss: Hyperdrive

One place that talked about this show described it as a cross between American Ninja Warrior and The Fast & The Furious. That's pretty bang on. Drivers are using their personal cars, not cars bought for production. Additionally, they're skillful but not world-class so accidents do happen. Finally, the presenters are all good and open about their knowledge or lack thereof.

9 You Don't Want To Miss: Fastest Car

Fastest car is all about that subject. Take a few built not bought, homemade specials and put them up against a supercar from one of the most well-known marquees. While some side stories are just to drum up drama, the actual races are legit. They're not faked, or retakes, they're real. Get the launch right and the race is yours in many cases.

8 You Don't Want To Miss: The 24 Hour War

Produced by Adam Corolla, this is a fantastic documentary of the entire story around the 1966 Le Mans victory by Carroll Shelby & Ford. The storytelling is outstanding, the interviews and videography are on point too. There's no reason to skip this. Put it on your list now.

7 You Don't Want To Miss: Apex

Via - Netflix

Apex has been out for a while now but it's so good that I've found myself going back to watch it over and over. The focus is on far more than just Koenigsegg and shows you what really goes into the production of these monster mph machines of our dreams. Unprecedented access means that you get tidbits you'll find nowhere else too.

6 You Don't Want To Miss: Formula 1: Drive To Survive

via Formula1.com

After a smash-hit season one this has recently seen the second season released. I would absolutely recommend watching them in order though. The cadence and flow of the show are a little abrasive if you just start in season 2. Again, much like Apex, you'll find access to the teams is far greater than you'd normally ever see.

5 You Don't Want To Miss: Senna

via sportskeeda.com

There's no doubt that when you think of Senna you think of the amazing driving skill and precedent that he laid out for every driver after him. This documentary tells you more than you ever knew though. It features footage that you've likely never seen and it builds to an ending that gives you a feeling like you were there when things went so bad. Incredible storytelling.

4 You Don't Want To Miss: Drive

Via - Netflix

Ever want to watch something just for fun and laugh at it a bit? Drive is that movie. It doesn't take itself too seriously but there are moments where the film pretends to that are hilarious. Add in a bunch of cool actors you've probably never heard of and some really beautiful cars and sets and you have the making of a light-hearted car flick.

3 You Don't Want To Miss: Shelby American

If you finish The 24 Hour War and want to know more about the man, the myth, the legend, Carroll Shelby, look no further.  This documentary takes you into a deep dive of his life and activities. You'll find out what made him the man he was and how he was always one step shy of being a sort of gentleman con artist.

2 You Don't Want To Miss: Fast & Furious: Spy Racers

Via - Netflix

Fast & Furious is finally what it always was in spirit, a franchise that is written with no regard for reality. In all seriousness though, this cartoon is amazing for getting young kids into cars and letting them into the amazing community of auto enthusiasts out there. If you have young ones this is a family-friendly way of welcoming them into what Dom would call, The Family.

1 You Don't Want To Miss: A Life Of Speed

Via Netflix

This documentary has gotten some mixed reviews but if you have any desire to learn more about the history of Formula 1, this is an incredible film. Following 5-time F1 champion Fangio is a wonderful window into the sport. He as a focus is a fascinating character who shows that you can do anything at any age.
