20 Won't: Jaguar X-Type

The X-Type is Jaguar's least beloved vehicle despite being on the assembly line from 2001 to 2009. The car wasn't a Jaguar in any actual sense since it had a similar drivetrain and interior with the Ford Mondeo.

It came out when the company was owned by Ford and it was meant to compete in the luxury sedan market which was populated by Mercedes and Audi at that time.

According to Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club, the car sold 50,000 copies in 2003. That was the best year for the model. Everything went downhill after that and the nameplate never recovered. The exterior design looks like that of any other sedan and it would be difficult to identify the badge. The New York Times described the Jaguar X-Type as "The Dud of the Decade."

19 Won't: Chevrolet Aveo

The Aveo came about when Chevrolet decided acquire Daewoo after the company declared bankruptcy in the 90s. The South Korean manufacturer had the Daewoo Kalos as one of their more popular brands.

Chevrolet decided to rebrand the vehicle and name it the Aveo for the North American market. The car had decent gas mileage but that is all you can say about it. It had a lazy exterior look. According to CBS, the Aveo has been ranked as one of the deadliest cars on the road, claiming over 150 lives. This is something that no one would find attractive. There are only a handful of first generations Aveos on the road and they don't inspire any kind of confidence.

18 Won't: Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass has been on the assembly line since 2007 and was the first ever crossover SUV from the car manufacturer. The first generation model had a 3.7L V6 engine which could produce up to 172HP.

One might immediately think of a hit and run situation when looking at the Jeep Compass, even for the new models. The interior has also been heavily criticized by Edmunds who defined it as having low-quality plastic. Car enthusiasts have also complained about the off-roading capability of the Jeep Compass. The car handle can't slippery fields and it is not attractive enough to stand out in the city. There are those who believe that Chrysler should never have allowed the compass to rock the Jeep badge.

The HS 250h was introduced to the North American market in 2009 and had a Hybrid feature as the main value proposition. There was nothing luxurious about the interior, and that was supposed to be one of the main selling features of the Lexus. The car had a price tag of $40,000 which is on the higher end of the spectrum considering what Lexus was offering. There were only 2400 units sold during the 2 years after the car was launched which led to its discontinuation in 2014. The market was simply not receptive to the model.

14 Won't: Chevy HHR

The Chevy HHR first hit the assembly line in 2005 and was in production until 2011. It was marketed as a five door station wagon in the US. According to Wikipedia, the inspiration for the design came from the 1947 Chevrolet Suburban which lacked the exterior aesthetics for a car of its time.

Aside from the ugly exterior, the Chevy HHR was one of the vehicles with the highest recall rates in the history of the automobile industry.

The car has been heavily criticized by car journalists and bloggers. Jalopnik described it as "the ultimate rent-a-wreck" and it has been voted as one of the worst vehicles to come out of the 2000s. According to CheatSheet, there were about 6.2 million flagged recall notices for the Chevy HHR.

13 Won't: Smart ForTwo

The Smart ForTwo had polarizing looks and the energy economy was very poor for a vehicle of its size. The Saturn Ion Quad Coupe was launched in 2002 and shared the same platform as the GM Delta. The first generation Quad Coupe came standard with a 2.2-liter L4 engine which could produce up to 140HP.

You can currently get a 2006 model for less than $2000. According to Vehicle History, the car is difficult to get in and out of which might work to your disadvantage if you are trying to impress the ladies.

The exterior of the sports car is similar to that of the Ford GTO car which had some of the best design work of that era.
