Now, this isn't the first EV that Hummer has built. Hummer promises a conducive interior, and from the teasers, we have seen, the electric vehicle is eye candy. The 2024 GMC Hummer EV is fitted with a 12.3" diagonal color touch-screen for the driver's cluster.

Unsurprisingly, the Hummer EV is built for off-roading with specially engineered tires and numerous off-road technologies. The model offers 625-hp and 7400 lb-ft of torque and is touted to come within the ranges of $79,995-$105,595.

9 Porsche Macan EV

The German manufacturers Porsche first produced the Macan– a luxury, five-door, crossover SUV in 2014. The Porsche Macan was formerly christened “Porsche Cajun.” Note that the Macan shares a platform with the Audi Q5 so, the new EV might just share some similarities with the Audi Q5.

Porsche is currently working on the 2023 Porsche Macan EV, billed to be the manufacturer's first electric SUV. The electric SUV will be built on Volkswagen's electric platform and use the Taycan's electric motor.

8 Peugeot 5008 SUV

Originally, Peugeot 5008 was a compact MPV, but since 2017, the car has been classified as a compact crossover SUV. Peugeot has been making the 5008 since 2009, and the engine of the SUV is similar to that of Peugeot 3008. These two Peugeot lines also share certain similarities beyond the engine specs, as the 5008 also got a facelift in 2020, just like the Peugeot 3008.

On their website, the carmakers say that the new Peugeot 5008 SUV will have a bold design. With a 10" HD central touchscreen, 3 ISOFIX points, amplified technology, and the capacity to seat seven passengers, the SUV is set to be a family favorite.

7 2023 Peugeot 3008

Peugeot first unveiled the 3008 SUV in 2008– a 5-door style compact crossover SUV. The 2016 Peugeot 3008 won the “car of the year 2017" award in Europe and later received a facelift in 2021. Now, the French manufacturer is working on a new version of the Peugeot 3008. The 2023 Peugeot 3008 will have a new style and logo.

There will most likely be different engine options, and we're expecting a plug-in hybrid engine that produces 225 hp. Additionally, a hybrid engine that produces 4300 hp and a petrol engine with 180 hp is expected. Peugeot might also make provisions for an electric motor.

Land Rover has been making Defenders since 1983, and it has become one of the most recognizable brands. The British car makers recently released their 2021 Land Rover Defender, and just like the 2021 Defender, the 2023 Defender 80 is also a mid-size SUV.

Like all Land Rovers, the 2023 Defender 80 will feature extreme off-road capabilities. Land Rover has not commented on the engine specifications, but we expect a 2.0-Liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 246 hp or a 3.0-Liter engine. The 2023 Land Rover Defender 80 is expected to sell anywhere from $30,000-$45,000.

5 Mercedes-Benz G-Class EV/EQG

Mercedes-Benz is making an electric car with supposedly zero emissions. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class EV/EVQ is expected to have a 108KWh battery and hit 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, although the manufacturer might offer a smaller battery pack. In typical Mercedes Benz fashion, the interior will be luxe with an optional hyper-screen infotainment system that completes the package.

While the release date of the EV/EQG is unknown, Mercedes Benz reportedly trademarked a set of names for this product. That alone hints at a close release date, and the Mercedes-Benz already feels like an alternative to the GMC Hummer SUV EV.

4 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge

Volvo's 2022 all-electric, luxury crossover SUV has two motors– one in the front and the other in the back. The 2022 C40 Recharge is also Volvo's first leather-free car. Volvo is yet to provide full information on the electric vehicle, but we know that the electric motors can produce 402 hp and go from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

There's also an energy storage pack of 75KWh. The all-wheel drive is equipped with a high-tech infotainment system and a 150-kW DC fast charging that charges up to 80% in 4.7 seconds.

3 2023 Kia Sportage

Kia is arguably one of the most successful Asian automakers. For 2023, the 2023 Kia Sportage (NQ5) offers cargo of 39 cu ft (1,104L). The Sportage has a bold exterior design inspired by Kia's new design philosophy– “Opposites United."

Nothing is certain yet, but the Kia might offer an electric version of the Sportage from what we know. The infotainment system boasts an LCD touch screen. We're expecting a hybrid or plug-in hybrid engine. Kia already announced that the SUV would launch globally in July.

With all-wheel drive, the electric motor can produce 320 hp and a torque of 446 lb-ft.
