Electric vehicles are rapidly being released from every segment of the automotive world – from small city cars such as the Honda E, to large transport trucks like the Mercedes-Benz eActros. Premium brands so far, had the best sales with daily drivers like the Tesla Model 3 and Audi e-tron, with luxury marques showing promise with the Mercedes’ EQS.

The automotive world is changing due to ever stricter emissions regulations. With the world running out of oil with which to refine fuel, many automakers exploring and experimenting with alternative propellants – the most popular being electricity. Many carmakers have even vowed to extinguish their internal-combustion flame as early as 2025.

With this influx of electric vehicles, automakers have to spice up their line-ups, so here are 10 of the coolest EVs expected to hit the automotive market by 2025.

Finally, with Mercedes-Benz unveiling new electric versions of their internal combustion cars, we all knew an EQG was going to happen. Unlike the other EQ models, the EQG does not look all that different from the gasoline of diesel-powered versions, probably as Mercedes has decided just to electrify the platform, rather than create an entirely new one.

Initial reports states that the EQG will have two models – the EQG 560 and EQG 580 – both of which have 4Matic all-wheel-drive as standard. The EQG will apparently also be fitted with a 108 KWh battery, however, the range has not been discussed yet – probably as the current G-Class is not the most aerodynamic vehicle on sale.
