When you hear about supercars, you may start thinking about high-pitched exhaust notes, neck-breaking top speeds, or maybe just their sleek design. But one thing that always comes into play is that crazy price tag. Now, of course, not everyone can afford these fantastic machines, and that’s really what makes them so special. If you see a Lamborghini as often as you see a Toyota, then there wouldn't be much special about them. But what can we do if we really just want to rip down the interstate (in the safest way possible) in a luxurious supercar but don't have six or seven figures of disposable income laying around? Well, we can always watch videos on YouTube or play video games, but that's just not the same. So, we’re going look at the cheapest supercars, some of which could be very obtainable with a little saving and possibly buying used.

Now, of course, with supercars, as with most things, you get what you pay for. So, we'll also look at the most expensive models. And when we talk about expensive, I mean even Chris Brown would flinch at the price, and he paid to ice out his ankle monitor. So, if you're looking for a supercar that you could potentially own one day but you’re not a trust fund baby or a pop star, you’re in the right place. And, if you do happen to be a multimillionaire and are looking for the most expensive car you can find, you’re also in the right place (and donations can be made to my Paypal account, just saying).

19 Cheapest: Acura NSX

via digital trends

After a long wait, Acura has finally remade the JDM classic, the NSX. This time, however, it has a whopping 573 hp.

They have completely remodelled it as well, with sleek angles and a twin-turbo 3.5L V6.

You can barely see a resemblance to the model we've all fallen in love with, but it's so hard not to love what it's evolved into. However, new toys have new prices, and this new NSX will run you $156,000. But if you have the dough to spare, the NSX has gotten great reviews and is absolutely beautiful.

18 Cheapest: Chevrolet Corvette Z06

via cnet.com

The Corvette has been a huge name ever since it came out, with its special blend of muscle and sports car. But in the most recent model, they've really upped the ante. It has a mighty 650 hp coming from a supercharged V8, mixed with a new design full of sharp angles with a wide rear stance. It really looks like it's ready for the drag strip straight out of the box. And as a bonus, this puppy only costs $79,400. That's still a good chunk of change, but it's the cheapest supercar you can find on the market today.

17 Cheapest: Jaguar F-Type

via motortrend.com

When you think of Jaguar, you think of smooth designs and luxurious craftsmanship with amazing attention to detail.

Well, Jaguar did it again, and this time, they put 575 hp under the hood.

The F-Type is pretty compact as far as a lot of supercars go, but it has a monster 5.0 V8 jammed in there with enough room for the gorgeous interior we all expect from Jaguar. It may not be the fastest supercar around, but it'll definitely turn some heads. The F-Type will run you $125,950, but on the bright side, it looks and sounds like it costs every cent.

16 Cheapest: Aston Martin Vantage

via topspeed.com

Aston Martin. Just the name can give you goosebumps. They have such a seamless mix of track, sport, and luxury that you can't help but fall in love every time that engine roars to life. The Vantage boasts a 4.7L V8 and pushes 430 hp. One of the best things about it, in addition to its power and aggressive design, is the price: $99,900. This is still pretty pricey, but compared to most other supercars on the market, that's not too shabby. Now, it's definitely not the fastest car out there, but it sounds like a small rocket and looks a bit like one, too, with a truly unique, sleek interior.

15 Cheapest: Dodge Viper SRT

via youtube.com

We've seen a lot of power coming out of Dodge recently with the Hellcat and now, the Demon. But one of their gems kind of got swept under the rug in all the chaos. The Viper has been loved among the supercar world and the muscle car world.

But their newest version of the Viper introduced the SRT version, with a mighty 645 hp.

This immense power stems from a giant 8.4L V10, one of the biggest production engines used by Dodge. What makes this beast even better is the fact that you can buy one for $87,895. Not too bad for the crazy power it comes with. And it's all wrapped up in a smooth, mean design.

14 Cheapest: BMW i8

via caranddriver.com

The i8 was one of the first production electric supercars, and BMW definitely set a trend with this car. It has a 3-cylinder engine as well as an electric motor. Together, they create a decent 357 hp. This isn't crazy by today's standards, but considering this is an electric car and can create that kind of power at minimal fuel usage is insane. It's truly a piece of art and a feat of engineering, and because of that, it's a bit expensive. The i8 comes with a price tag of $140,700, nothing too surprising coming from the luxury sports-car brand.

13 Cheapest: Audi R8

via caranddriver.com

The four Audi rings, with their unique looks and amazing sound, have always been able to give people goosebumps. But they took those chills to a whole other level with the R8. It's small, mean, and sounds absolutely stunning. The R8 also has a staggering 540 hp derived from a 5.2L V10. And not a drop of that power is wasted with its AWD setup. Again, it's from a luxury sports car brand known for their high prices, and the R8 is no different with a $162,900 price tag. But there really is nothing else that looks or sounds quite like it on the market.

12 Cheapest: Mercedes AMG GT

via caranddriver.com

Well, we covered Audi and BMW, and of course, Mercedes has a supercar of their own. The AMG GT wouldn't necessarily stand out like a Ferrari would, but once that engine starts, people will start trying to find the source.

It has a crazy twin-turbo 4.0L V8, pushing a decent 456 hp.

What it lacks in power, it more than makes up for in looks. It has a clean style that can blend in and still turn heads, with an interior that'll make you feel like you're in a million-dollar car. Fortunately, it doesn't cost a million dollars, just a cool $133,600.

11 Cheapest: Porsche 911 Turbo

via caranddriver.com

Porsche has been known for their sports cars for a long time now, seeing as how until the Cayenne, that's pretty much all they've made. But nowadays, they've put a lot of focus on supercars.

The 911 Turbo is one of their most popular cars, and it comes with a very respectable 540 hp.

This power is all due to its turbo 3.8L flat 6. And it's all wrapped in a neat, little, compact, very recognizable body. The 911 Turbo is definitely not a car to be messed with on the track. The price is bigger than the car but still made it onto our cheapest list at $159,200.

10 Cheapest: Nissan GT-R

via youtube.com

Nissan is one of the most popular car companies with pretty decent prices for really nice cars. However, they also have a crazy side. They were known for many JDM classics, but now, most of the attention is on their premier supercar, the GT-R. It has a mind-boggling 565 hp coming out of a monstrous twin-turbo 3.8L V6. The AWD monster comes off the lot ready to take down anyone that has the guts to race it. So, because it looks great, sounds like Godzilla, and has the power to back up its trash talk, it has to be expensive. But it's actually one of the most affordable supercars with a price of $109,900.

9 Most Expensive: Pagani Huayra BC

via autoguide.com

There's so much to say about this beautiful monster of a car. And even calling it a car is an understatement; it looks and sounds more like a spaceship.  It has an amazing 790 hp with a full carbon-fiber body. The Huayra BC comes with a 6.0L V12. The interior is the real kicker, though, with a gauge cluster and dash that literally looks like something out of Star Trek. This amazing machine is also one of the most expensive cars in the world, which you could guess just by looking at it, at a price of 2.8 million dollars.

8 Most Expensive: Koenigsegg Regera

via koenigsegg.com

Koenigsegg has been battling for the title of the fastest production car ever since they came on the market.

The Regera has three electric motors and a powerful twin-turbo 5.0L V8.

It also has one of the most beautiful designs on the supercar market, with a beautiful sound that's unlike any other car. These motors all work in conjunction to create an awesome 1,100 hp. That's not the only thing that makes this car special. It also has only one gear. That's right—this beast has all that power flowing through one gear. Basically, once it starts accelerating, it never stops. The Regera sells for 1.9 million dollars.

7 Most Expensive: Bugatti Chiron

via caranddriver.com

The Bugatti Veyron was once the fastest production car, but its time has ended, and the Chiron has taken over with its absolutely insane 1,500 hp W16 engine, which has 4 turbos. That's right—this crazy car has 4 turbos on it.

Basically, Bugatti took two twin-turbo V8 engines and shoved them together.

And it couldn't have been done better. Not only does it have an immense amount of power, but it's also absolutely stunning to look at. And the Chiron can be yours for a price almost as crazy as its power: 2.9 million dollars.

6 Most Expensive: McLaren P1 GTR

via gtspirit.com

McLaren is a well-known name in the supercar world and mostly known for their P1. The base P1 is so expensive that insurance companies won't insure them, and if you wreck it, it's generally cheaper to buy a new one than to fix it. Now, bump that up to the GTR version, and you're looking at 986 hp and a 2.6-million-dollar price tag.

That power stems from two motors. It has one electric motor and a mighty twin-turbo 3.8L V8.

But the P1 GTR is absolutely stunning, with its trademark style and gorgeous sounds, and definitely looks as expensive as it is.

5 Most Expensive: Aston Martin Valkyrie

via motor1.com

Aston Martin has a way of combining luxury and speed in a way that we can't help but love, and they were even nice enough to wrap up the entire experience in a beautiful package. The Valkyrie sports an absolutely gigantic 6.5L V12 and pushes out 1,000 hp. That's impressive enough on its own, but they went a step further and made this car with a 1:1 weight/power ratio. And you can tell Aston Martin really has pride in this car from its crazy price of 3 million dollars.  And I mean, come on... Valkyrie? How cool of a name is that?

4 Most Expensive: Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

via statushood.com

Ferrari had to make it on the list at some point. Of course, they have their own absolutely insanely priced supercar, the LaFerrari. It obviously has the amazing sounds that are to be expected from a Ferrari, as well as a 6.3L V12 pushing out 1,000 hp. The interior looks like most other Ferraris, which isn't a bad thing at all, but the speed and the power of the LaFerrari Aperta are unlike those of any other supercar and has the lovable unique design of its base model. This is one of the most expensive Ferraris ever produced at a staggering 2.2 million dollars.

3 Devel Sixteen

via youtube.com

This supercar was rumored and talked about years ago, but in 2018, it became a beautiful and crazy reality. The Devel Sixteen claims an absolutely jaw-dropping 5,007 hp from its equally jaw-dropping 12.3L V16 engine. This thing sounds like something straight out of a car enthusiast's dream and looks just as fast as it is. Speaking of fast, it also has a claimed top speed of 350 mph. Now, that's all pretty crazy, especially if you've never heard about this car, but the best part is the price. It's still pretty pricey, but it only runs for 1 million dollars.

2 Most Expensive: Lykan Hypersport

via excellencemagazineluxury.com

Hypersport. Even the name boasts its speed. It's a very rare car with only 7 made. The body is small, compact, and absolutely stunning with its futuristic design. It has so many sharp angles in its design that it can just cut through the wind.

It has a clean 780 hp delivered from a twin-turbo 3.8L flat 6.

But the craziness doesn't stop there. The headlights of the Hypersport have 240 15 karat diamonds in them. So basically, it wasn't expensive enough, and they decided to throw diamonds in the mix. This already iconic supercar runs for 3.4 million dollars.

1 Most Expensive: Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio

via jamesnews.com

So, this is an absolute mouthful, but the Pininfarina Sergio is worth looking into. There were only six made, but they made their way onto our list with their 3-million-dollar price tag. It's one of the rarest Ferraris ever made and has a powerful 4.5L V8 with 596 hp. Now, this doesn't compete with our other cars as far as speed, but the looks are well worth the money, assuming you're a multi-millionaire. It almost looks like the design team at Ferrari was playing with Hot Wheels and decided to make one of their own. And we're so glad they did.
