Our solar system is full of amazing facts. When you stop and think about some of these facts, it's absolutely mind-boggling. We are traveling on a huge ball of rock at 67,000 mph through an ever-growing universe, around a giant ball of gas we call the sun. Yes, yes you're still on HotCars, bear with us. Undeniably, the sun is the most powerful thing in our solar system, and Eric Isaacsen from Muscle Cars with Eric YouTube channel is here to show us a 1965 Shelby AC Cobra. So, what's the correlation between the Sun and this classic car?

The Brightest Classic Car In The World

Eric introduces us to Jeff, who is the owner of this amazing machine. At the 2:30 mark in the video, Jeff cold starts the Cobra to a cacophony of loud noises, smoke, and heat waves. The car features a polished aluminum finish that mirrors everything. In the sunlight, it is clear to see, or blinded, why this car is comparable to the sun. The car is so bright and loud that Jeff tells us that the most common question he gets is “is that even legal?”

Jeff tells us he owned two V12 marine racing engines in 2011. While deciding what to do with them, his son, who was 11 at the time, threw a curveball and said, “Dad, why not put this in a Cobra?” Of, course the engine needs a detune to only 1,000 hp but to have the only one in the solar system like this, it's a sacrifice Jeff is willing to make. Opening the hood, Jeff tells us it's an 860 cu engine that originally produced about, 1,150 hp. The engine and engine bay are all chrome as well.

Burning Up Gas

Jeff drives the car often but cannot go very far because the car only gets a crazy 3 mpg. He has recently done a tune to get better gas mileage, an upgrade of 25% which now gives him 4 mpg. Granted, it's not comparable to the sun's five million tons of fuel burned per second, but it is a laughable figure as it is four times worse than the next worse vehicle on the market today. To sum up, it is the most powerful, brightest, loudest, and fastest, thing in the world today. Much like the most powerful thing in our solar system. That's outta this world.
