West Coast Customs is known as one of the best customizers around. It was founded in 1994 by Ryan Friedlinghaus and Quinton Dodson. Ever since, that company has been the first choice for unique customs and celebrity custom cars.

West Coast Customs is an iconic company, but it makes some of the most unique and weird cars you will find out there. However, we guess they do whatever they need to do in order to be successful. For West Coast Customs, that means satisfying their customers and giving them what they are asking for.

Besides, if your market is going to consist of mainly celebrity customers, you should expect some crazy requests your way. Celebrities can pay well, and that is all that matters in the end. The bright side is that with their unique creations, they stand out very easily.

Here is a list of 14 awful cars built by West Coast Customs:

14 Mitsubishi RE Model A

autoweek.com

This custom model has a lazy feel, almost like the dimensions of the original model A were stretched over the SUV chassis, and then they took the first set of wheels they found on the shelf. The wheels don’t belong on this car and are its biggest flaw.

13 DOF Mobile

twitter.com

The DOF Mobile looks like it was inspired by the camo wrap of a show, and just hasn’t made any sense to this day. The car was lowered a bit too, and it had lights placed under it. The only redeeming aspect here is that this was personally customized for YouTube star FouseyTube.

12 GTA Banshee

autoguide.com

The Banshee is essentially just a fake Viper. It was built for a contest for GameStop, as West Coast Customers refined a Viper to make it a Banshee. A grandmother won the contest, but she ended up selling the car because she liked her own SUV better. That speaks volumes about the worth of this model.

11 SteamPunk VW Bus

twitter.com

The VW Bus has a fairly overused design and looks like it was chopped up quite badly. The performance of this model isn’t that bad, but the appearance is what dug it inside a grave. They should not have started with already cut up Bus.

10 Batman Arkham Knight Batmobile

autoevolution.com

The idea behind the design of this car is that it is more realistic than the batmobile of the movies, and that it is more rugged too. However, it is just a static piece and not an actual car. It is simply a sculpture with tires. It doesn’t drive, so what is the point of it anyway?

9 Post Malone Explorer

This vehicle was also built for Inside West Coast Customs, and it is possibly one of the tackiest custom car designs one can find. The grill looks like it has been covered by a plastic cutting board. And of course, it cannot possibly get any tackier than Lamborghini doors.

8 General Lee

twitter.com

West Coast Customs took a modern Charger, painted it orange, and added a 01 on it. Out of everything crazy the company has ever created; this certainly takes the cake. It also comes with very large rims on low profile tires, which are another reason why this car simply doesn’t make any sense…

7 Hummer H2

pinterest.com

West Coast Customs have made all kinds of terrible cars, but this is a different kind of bad. It is the kind that simply cannot be improved. It was built on two different GM chassis placed together, and customized to resemble the military HMMWV. The truck is capable of taking you just a small distance, and that’s it.

6 Pink Crystal Mini Cooper

superstreetonline.com

The Pink Crystal is one of the most popular cars ever made, hence it is a tragedy that West Coast Customs got their hands on it. This model is like the sparkly bedazzled phone case of Mini Coopers. The wheels are plastic looking and it has a weird skirt too.

5 Zippo Jeep

pinterest.com

This model of the Zippo Jeep is simply too subdued for our liking. It was modelled on a 1947 New Yorker, and it reflects the rugged nature of the Zippo lighter. The truck has a grill which is reminiscent of the wind guard around the wick of Zippo lighters.

4 Geek Squad Wrap

autoblog.com

This model of the Geek Squad mobile has more orange accenting throughout and then a mixture of completely unrelated images throughout the exterior. Cartoon wolves and skulls might be cool on their own, but they don’t really fit well with the ‘geek’ concept and don’t create a serious impression of the company at all.

3 Range Stormer

autogespot.com

This is a $500,000 replica which was sent to Dubai. Unfortunately, after going through all this effort, the car ended up in an accident and ended up having to go through various paint jobs before it was finally abandoned. The owner was asked if he wants it fixed, and he hasn’t given word since.

2 Chris Brown’s Lambo

celebritycarsblog.com

Chris Brown is known for his poor decisions, this being one of them. This Gallardo custom has the lyrics to Tupac’s Lord Knows all over the car. It is the kind of feature you would expect on a book cover or a T-shirt, and most definitely not on a high-end sports car.

1 Chevy HHR

seriouswheels.com

In 2005, Chevy wanted to introduce their new PT Cruiser-like HHR. They knew it wasn’t good enough, so they handed it to West Coast Customs. But what did they do? They removed the car's essential symbol, the high roof. Somehow, they managed to make an already bland car even blander.
