Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott is an ageless rapper (seriously, she’s 47 and looks like she’s getting younger every year) who first shot to fame in the ‘90s with the all-female R&B group Sista. She then became a member of collective, Swing Mob, with her childhood friend and longtime collaborator, Timbaland. In 1997, her debut album Supa Dupa Fly was released, debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200, which was the highest-charting debut for a female rapper at the time.

Then she kind of fell off the radar. She’s won four Grammy Awards, sold over 30 million records in the United States, and is the best-selling female rapper in Nielsen Music history, but we haven’t heard much from her since the early 2000s. Luckily, in 2016 she released a promotional single on the day of the 50th Super Bowl, and as of July 2018 people are patiently awaiting her upcoming seventh studio album.

So what has she done with all her royalties? Well, she’s a huge car collector. In fact, her mother even publicly expressed worry over the money she’s drained into the collection, and that’s what moms are there for… to worry. But somehow I think Missy will be fine. She’s still as popular as ever, appearing on a recent Skrillex track and just this month she appeared on an Ariana Grande number, “Borderline.” So the royalties are still coming in.

Let’s take a look at 15 cars only Missy Elliott can afford, and five from her friends that she wishes she had.

20 Spyker C8 Spyder

via wikipedia.org

The Spyker C8 was a sports car produced by Dutch automaker Spyker Cars from 2000 to the present. There are several variants, with the C8 Spyder being the original base model, with an Audi 4.2-liter V8 engine that produced 400 hp and had a top speed of 186 mph. The car also appeared in Season 4 of UK’s Top Gear, driven by Jeremy Clarkson and The Stig, and was featured in Basic Instinct 2, War, and Fast & Furious 6. The base price of this bad boy will set you back a pretty penny, though: $229,190 worth of pretty pennies. Each car is handcrafted, and Spyker prides itself on that, which is why they’re so expensive, and probably why Missy Elliott owns one.

19 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

via youtube.com

Okay, people might be able to afford this one, but it’s still an awesome car. It seems no hip-hop artist’s car collection is complete without a G-Wagon, and Missy Elliott is no exception. These bad boys start at $123,600, which, in terms of the other cars she owns, is pretty cheap. In her song “Hot Boyz,” she referred to a car called a “Mercedes Jeep.”

We believe she meant the G-Class, because there’s no such thing as a Mercedes Jeep (even though it kind of looks like one).

While the standard G550 is a little over $123,000, you can also get a G550 4x4 SUV for $227,300, which is a whole lot more! It only gets 11 mpg, but in return runs on a 4.0-liter V8 that gets 416 hp.

18 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT

via fab-design.com

This is another car that isn’t too expensive for some, but way beyond the price range of many (including myself). The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is a $112,400 car new, and has been in existence since 2014. Every two years there have been some variations made. In 2015 it was the GT S, a more highly-equipped GT with a tuned M178 engine and 515 hp. In 2017 it was the GT R, a high-performance variant with 577 hp, and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 3.6 seconds. The GT R starts at $129,900. The normal GT runs on a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, and gets 456 hp.

17 Lexus LX 570

via caranddriver.com

This is one of those “Hot Boyz” cars that Missy Elliott didn’t really know too much about, calling it a “Lexus Jeep.” She really has a thing with Jeep-like vehicles, but for all that, she doesn’t own one. The LX 570 is still a very nice, upper-end luxury SUV.

It starts at $85,630, and has been in production since 1995, so it doesn’t seem like its going anywhere.

Through three generations the LX-Class has done well, and there are different types of LXs sold all over the world. The one in the United States, for instance, runs on a 4.6-liter V8 engine, gets 383 hp, and has been in production since 2007 here. There’s a Supercharged version that is sold in the Middle East only, that gets 450 hp.

16 Lexus LFA

via caranddriver.com

The Lexus LFA is a high-performance, limited edition model in the company’s F marque. It was produced between 2010 and 2012, and only 500 were made. CEO of Toyota, Akio Toyoda, saw the LFA as an opportunity to create a global icon for the Lexus brand with the LFA. The car featured an all-new even-firing V10 engine in collaboration with a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer body. It had a base price of $375,000, and a circuit-tuned variant debuted in 2012 with a price of $445,000. Its 4.8-liter V10 gets 552 horsepower, goes from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 203 mph. Car and Driver likened it to the Ferrari Enzo and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. It scored the quickest wet lap time ever on Top Gear in 2010, with a power lap of 1.22.8, three seconds faster than the next up, Lamborghini Gallardo.

15 Lincoln Navigator

via autoblog

Missy Elliott is clearly a connoisseur of luxury SUVs, and the Lincoln Navigator definitely belongs in that bracket. She also made mention of “Lincoln Jeeps” in her “Hot Boyz” song, so that’s three different SUVs she falsely referred to as “Jeeps,” and she owns all of them.

The Lincoln Navigator starts at $72,555, and has gotten some of the best reviews from car critics around the world, including a 9.3/10 from US News & World Report, 4.4/5 from Edmunds, and 5/5 from Cars.com.

This big SUV has been in production since 1998, and was the first Lincoln to be produced in a factory outside their Wixom Assembly Plant since 1958.

14 Ferrari 458 Italia

via carspecs.us

The Ferrari 458 really is one of the most beautiful Ferraris of the modern era. It was produced between 2009 and 2015, and won all sorts of awards upon its release, including the “Car of the Year” and “Supercar of the Year” from Top Gear in 2009, and the “Cabrio of the Year 2011.” Motor Trend called it the “Best Driver’s Car.” This $250,000 beauty is powered by a 4.5-liter F136 (“Ferrari/Maserati”) V8 engine, producing 562 bhp, and featuring direct fuel injection, a first for Ferrari mid-engined cars. Its official 0-62 mph acceleration time is 2.9-3.0 seconds, and its top speed is 210 mph.

13 Lamborghini Gallardo

via motorauthority.com

Missy Elliott owns not one, but two Lamborghini Gallardos, in two different colors. These cars start at $181,900, making them on the cheap end as far as Lambos go. From 2002 to 2013, during its manufactured years, it was the best-selling Lamborghini model, with 14,022 built.

It was powered by an even-firing 5.0-liter V10 engine, and was the stable-mate to a succession of V12 flagship models, first the Murcielago, then the Aventador.

It was eventually replaced by the Huracan in 2014. There were many variants of the car made, most of which topped out at around 200 mph, and had 0-62 mph times of between 4.2 and 3.4 seconds. Their prices also ranged from $181,900 for the base, first generation model, up to $259,100 for the LP570-4 Squadra Corse special edition vehicle.

12 Ferrari Enzo

via gtspirit.com

The Enzo Ferrari (unofficially the Ferrari Enzo) is one of the most exclusive, upper-end supercars among not just Ferrari, but really any supercar manufacturer. It is the height and epitome of Italian exotic engineering. The V12, mid-engined car was named after the company’s founder, and built-in 2002 using Formula One technology.

Only 400 were built, and Missy owns one. Its built from a carbon fiber body, has F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission, and carbon fiber-reinforced silicon carbide disc brakes.

Its 6.0-liter engine (5,999 cc) gets 651 horsepower, and can reach 0-60 mph in 3.14 seconds. Its top speed is a mind-blowing 221 mph. For all this, the car cost $659,330 when released, but they’re now going for $3 million and up! Missy has a gold mine on her hands!

11 Lamborghini Aventador

via caranddriver.com

The Lamborghini Aventador is one of the most upper echelon Lambos that you can buy. It was produced between 2011 and 2017, launched at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. By March 2016, 5,000 Aventadors had been built, in five years, with a retail price of $399,500. There are all sorts of variants, too, like the LP 700-4 Roadster ($441,600), the SuperVeloce ($493,069), and SuperVeloce Roadster ($530,075). The Veneno was a limited edition run based on the Aventador, with a base price of $4.5 million, making it one of the most expensive production cars in the world. The normal Aventador runs on a 3.5-liter V12, gets 690 bhp, goes from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds, and tops out at 230 mph! Missy traded her 2005 Bentley Continental for one, and dropped $30,000 as a down payment. The dealership wanted her to pay more, but that didn’t happen.

10 Rolls-Royce Phantom

via wikipedia.org

The Rolls-Royce Phantom is one of the classiest cars money can buy. So it seems like Missy Elliott does not discriminate between speed and luxury. She’ll take both. The Phantom starts at $418,825, and runs on a 6.75-liter V12 engine that gets 563 hp.

So this isn’t your granddad’s luxury car, this is a high-powered, high-performance masterpiece.

The 2018 Phantom VIII uses rear suicide doors, or “coach doors,” making it even snazzier. It has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, unfortunately, and gets from 0-62 mph in 5.3 seconds. This is a great car to show that the owner has a great deal of money and power, so good job to Missy for getting one.

9 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish

via caranddriver.com

The Vanquish is sleek, powerful, and sophisticated. Heck, pretty much all Aston Martins are, but this is the cream of the crop. This super grand tourer starts at $294,950, making it more expensive than many Ferraris and Lamborghinis. The first generation was built between 2001 and 2007, and the second resumed from 2012 to 2018. It runs on a 5.9-liter V12 engine that produces 542 bhp, an upgraded version of their flagship AM11 engine. It can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 183 mph. On top of that, it has one of the classiest interiors around.

8 Bentley Continental GT

via caranddriver.com

The Bentley Continental GT is a grand tourer that’s been manufactured in Britain since 2003. It was the first car released under Bentley’s new Volkswagen AG management, and the first Bentley to use mass production manufacturing techniques.

A new 2018 Continental GT costs $218,400, but a 2005 like Missy had started with a base price of $159,990.

It used a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 that gave the car 552 bhp and a top speed of 197.6 mph. With a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.8 seconds, this car could really zip around. It’s a shame Missy got rid of it eventually, but she traded it in for Lamborghini Aventador, and there’s nothing wrong with that!

7 Lamborghini Diablo

via pinterest.com

The purple Lamborghini Diablo is a really hot ride. Even as a kid, the Hot Wheels purple Diablo made you want one of these beauties. Between 1991 and 2001, only 2,884 Diablos were produced. Even though it’s not extremely limited, it was the first production Lamborghini capable of attaining a top speed of over 200 mph. The car’s prices ranged drastically, too, from $92,591 for the base model, to $300,000 for the GT, to $500,000 for an aftermarket tuned Diablo VTTT. When Missy ordered hers, someone stole it en route to her and ended up hitting a curb, a sign, and a post. The car was totaled, and the man who stole it ended up getting three years in prison for the theft, crash, and damages.

6 “Ferrari Bed”

via pinterest.ca

This is a truly unique, one-off “vehicle.” And it so encapsulates Missy Elliott’s obsession with cars that it’s absurd. You know how kids had cool sports car beds when they were younger? I know I did.

Well, Missy went one step further and got a REAL Ferrari and transformed it into her bed.

It had a TV under the hood and a shoe rack in the trunk. The TV opened up from the hood to display at the foot of the bed. It is the perfect amenity for a big time hip-hop star, and Missy knows it. Unfortunately, she sold her Aventura condo in 2014, and we believe the Ferrari bed probably went with it. (Pictured is not her bed, but a different one.)

5 Eminem’s McLaren MP4-12C

via wallpapermemory.com

There are some other famous rappers who also have cars that would make Missy Elliott’s mouth water. One of them would be Eminem’s McLaren MP4-12C. The 12c was the first production car wholly designed by McLaren since the F1, which ended production in 1998. The 12C was produced between 2011 and 2014. It cost about $250,000 upon release, which was around the same price as a new Ferrari 458 Italia. It was powered by the M838T, a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine designed by McLaren, Ilmor, and Ricardo. The engine produced 592 bhp, and a stock 12C could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds. It also has a 215 mph top speed, which is 8 mph faster than McLaren’s manufactured claimed top speed.

4 Beyonce’s Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II

via superstarfloraluk

Missy Elliott might have a really sweet couple of luxury vehicles with her Bentley Continental GT and her Rolls-Royce Phantom, but neither of those compare to Queen B’s Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud.

The $1 million Rolls was given to her by Jay Z on her 25th birthday, and it’s her favorite car to drive around. Talk about elegance, beauty, and luxury!

The Silver Cloud was produced between 1955 to 1966, and was the core model of Rolls-Royce at that time. This classic masterwork ran on a 6.2-liter V8 engine, had a top speed of 114 mph, which was a great improvement from the first generation Silver Cloud. We want Beyonce’s Silver Cloud, and we’re guessing Missy Elliott does too.

3 Wyclef’s Pagani Zonda

via pinterest.ca

Wyclef Jean is a Haitian rapper who first gained fame as a member of the New Jersey hip hop group, the Fugees. He’s very successful, and loves cars just about as much as Missy. One of his best is his Pagani Zonda, a $1.4 million supercar that was produced between 1999 and 2017. Only 135 Zondas had been built by 2009, in the first 10 years. Wyclef owns a C12, one of the originals. It was powered by a 6.0-liter Mercedes-Benz V12 engine, producing 450 hp. It could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and could reach a top speed of 208 mph. This is one of the rarest supercars in the world, so we’re sure Missy would love to drive (and own) one.

2 J. Cole’s Bugatti Veyron

via blog.driveaway2day.com

J. Cole is another rapper and producer who has a strong affinity for awesome cars. He also worked with Missy Elliott on the song “Nobody’s Perfect,” which featured Missy as a backing artist. The Bugatti Veyron is of course the premiere supercar to own.

At its base level, it’s a $1.5 million beast that is both the fastest and most unique looking car on the planet.

It was given all kinds of awards when it was first released in 2005, and quite frankly, I’m a little surprised Missy Elliott doesn’t have one. Maybe it’s even a little too rich for her blood! Whatever the reason, there’s no doubting that this is a mouth-watering vehicle, one that every super-rich star should own, if only to join an exclusive club.

1 Jay-Z’s Maybach Exelero

via wikipedia.org

The most expensive production car on the planet belongs to Jay Z, the most successful and wealthiest hip-hop artist and producer in the world. It’s definitely fitting that he would own this car (which he got when fellow rapper Birdman was unable to make payments on it). It appeared in Jay Z’s music video for “Lost One,” and was commissioned by German company Fulda, to test their new Carat Exelero tire range. This one-off vehicle cost $8 million to own, which is more than Missy Elliott’s entire car collection. It runs on a 5.9-liter twin-turbocharged V12, and has a top speed of 218 mph.
