If you've heard about the beastly Dodge Viper SRT-10, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, or even the Ram SRT-10, then you know they all have a common denominator: the SRT badge. Despite belonging to different segments, these cars are all widely known for their amazing performance, all thanks to those three letters.

SRT stands for Street & Racing Technology, and it is a high-performance branch within the Fiat Chrysler Automobile company. Over the years, this division was responsible for bringing some of the most powerful and sporty cars to the American streets, including the Viper and the Dodge Neon. Never the ones to cheap out on power, their consumer are known to produce over 800 horsepower - fully stock!

So, to remind you about all these amazing vehicles made by SRT, we've compiled a list that contains the 15 greatest SRT cars ever produced (so far).

15 Dodge Challenger SRT

via HotRod

The Challenger is perhaps the best known of all the cars from the Dodge SRT range and is regularly one of the highest-rated SRT cars from the Fiat-Chrysler umbrella. It might drink a lot of fuel, but according to Car and Driver, it has “absurd amounts of power” and nobody can complain about those awesome retro looks.

14 Dodge Viper SRT

via Top Speed

Equally impressive is the Dodge Viper SRT, the Viper's smaller size makes it more agile than the Challenger. A race-bred GT car, the Viper's whopping 8.4-liter V10 provides a simply staggering 645 hp. Too bad the car is no longer in production.

13 Chrysler 300 SRT-8

via Wikipedia

It might not be quite as good as that of the Viper and the Challenger, but you can’t go too wrong with the 300 SRT. What makes the 300 so good is that it is not too out of place in other countries, such as the UK. A Hemi engine produced a brilliant 425 hp and a 0-60 of 4.9 seconds really is nothing to be ashamed of.

12 Dodge Durango SRT

via Consumption

It might seem weird to see the Durango on this list, but it too has been given an SRT trim that's brimming with power. You could well say that it is the ultimate performance SUV. Like so many high-performance machines, it certainly guzzles fuel, but that 485 hp V8 makes such a great sound, and it’s a surprisingly comfortable car as well.

11 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat 2017

via Marino Performance Motors

We have looked at the baseline SRT Challenger, but did you know there are more enhanced versions as well? The Hellcat is an insane car, and the 2017 model was one of the best. 0-60 of just 3.6 seconds is amazing, a wonderful 6.2L Hemi V8 powering this absolute beast of a car.

10 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

via Performance Drive

Another mad version of the standard Challenger SRT, the Demon perhaps has the best soundtrack of all SRT Challengers. How much power, I hear you ask? Well, it can feature up to 840 hp if you feed it the correct fuel. That kind of power going to the rear wheels is enough for the Demon's drivers to officially boast they can do a wheelie! We're not kidding.

9 Dodge Charger 392 SRT

Another utterly awesome SRT car that deserves to be a feature on this list is the Charger 392 SRT. The 392 is not quite as mad as the Demon, but a top speed of 190 mph and a just as mad 707 bhp makes this car another of the very best performers from the SRT range. Again, it’s a fuel guzzler, but you buy these cars knowing full well that is the case.

8 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat

Even crazier than the 392 SRT is the 2019 edition of the Charger SRT Hellcat. It is again one of the highest-rated of the SRT machines from the company, with what Car and Driver say has great handling thanks to its very good rear-wheel drive and a quick-shift eight-speed transmission.

7 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10

via Bring a Trailer

We have already explored the Viper SRT. But we are now going to go back a few years and look at an earlier Viper SRT. Specifically this one, the SRT-10 from 2006. It may not be the most powerful Viper ever produced, with 510-horsepower, but back when it was new, there was nothing that could compare to it. This version is still remembered as one of the Viper's best ever.

6 Dodge Ram SRT-10

via Bring a Trailer

Ever heard the term "performance pickup?" Well, this one here embodies that term, featuring the same refrigerator-sized V10 from the Viper, along with its 510 horsepower. With all that under the hood, the Ram SRT-10 can sprint to 60 mph in under 5 seconds. Yes, that's faster than 90% of sports cars from its era!

Only 3,305 of these were built in 2005 which is insane and it has become a bit of a collectors car. Used ones can go for as much as $35,000!

5 SRT Viper GT3-R

via Race Cars Direct

Given that it was a racing car born and bred, I thought I would have to include a racing variant of the Viper. The GT3-R is one of the most successful of the Viper GT racing machines which was available to race teams at a cost of $459,000 from the latter half of 2013. 680 hp is more than enough for a racer, its first win coming at Mosport in 2014 in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship.

4 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

via The Truth About Cars

Another mad, big beast of a car to feature on this list. But it goes well up against that of the Dodge Durango. The Cherokee Trackhawk is an absolute weapon and we love it. Around 707 hp and 645 Ib-ft of torque at 4800 rpm make this one of the craziest, and fastest, SUVs out there. It's also the quickest SUV in the world, boasting a 3.5-second 60-mph launch. And as if that wasn't bonkers enough, it will go on to reach a top speed of 180 mph.

3 Dodge Neon SRT-4

via Bring a Trailer

This might not be as well known as some of the other SRT machines that we have looked at on this list. But the Neon SRT-4 is a bit of an underrated car. A more compact sports car, it even spawned a commemorative edition in 2005 that celebrated the SRT machines and it won numerous awards, including 2003 Car of the Year by SCC.

2 Dodge Charger SRT-8 First Gen

via Top Speed

The last of the Charger’s we have featured on this list, specifically an earlier edition of the Charger. The first-gen machines were mad cars, and they looked every bit as much, too. Rear and all-wheel drive options were available, with the most powerful editions featuring the 6.1L Hemi V8 that pumped 425 hp.

1 Dodge Magnum SRT-8

via Top Speed

Whilst it might not have sold that well, that doesn’t mean the Magnum SRT-8 was a bad car. Because it really wasn’t. 5.6 seconds to 60 was rather good for this estate car, and it also had a 425 hp Hemi V8 just like the first generation Dodge Chargers. It won “Best New Modern Muscle Car” in the 2006 Canadian Car Of The Year contest, which clearly backs up its pedigree.
