Taste, as most things are in this world, is a very subjective feeling. What one individual may see as trash, another may view the same as gold. Nevertheless, a large majority of people can come together to form what is known as 'popular opinion'; designating what is in/out of style, especially with cars.

Sure, a stock sports car/hypercar is cool, but why not modify it a bit? Well, for some, this isn't a problem at all; easily turning their already beautiful cars into even wilder masterpieces. However, a majority don't quite understand design, proper vehicle modifications, aerodynamics, and what actually looks decent. In an effort to prove this point, and fret over what could've been, here are fifteen photos of various sports cars and supercars that drivers ruined...

15 15. Vaydor Infiniti G35 (SEMA)

Via: autoguide.com

After companies like Liberty Walk and Rocket Bunny popularized bolt-on/sleek bodykits, people began to develop an understanding of bodykits and exterior add-ons. Yet, some don't get it as well as the competition, as evidenced by the Vaydor bodykit. In essence, the Vaydor kit completely changes the Infiniti G35's and adds some extra power. Yes, it isn't JUST a body kit, but, nevertheless, it looks very plastic-like and cheaply drawn up.

14 14. Audi R8 (Gen. 1)

Via: audiboost.com

Compared to some of the other vehicles here, this first generation Audi R8 is not the worst. However, it could always be better. Sporting a bright chrome-blue wrap isn't the bad part, it's the gaudy matte black accents, needless roof-mounted hood scoop and extra weight.

13 13. LS-Swapped RX-7

Via: dragzine.com

To J.D.M. fans, simply uttering LS-swaps and a Mazda RX-7 in the same sentence is bad enough. It's truly sacrilegious, on the other hand, to actually go through with it. To concede, LS-engines (Chevrolet V8s) are indeed powerful and strong motors, yet, they don't belong in the rotary-based RX-7. After all, a four-rotor is way faster than a V8.

12 12. Mansory Stallone Ferrari F12

Via: mansory.com

Similar to the chrome-blue Audi R8, the Mansory Stallone Ferrari F12 is not an awful car by most people's standards. It's very fast and is still a Ferrari at heart, even so, Mansory had to change the appearance a bit. Sadly, they did it for the worst, at least at the front-end by completely facelifting the grill, splitter, and aerodynamics.

11 11. Dodge Challenger SRT

Via: SVTPerformance.com

If the Fast and Furious film franchise has taught rookie car enthusiasts anything, it is that stickers and "rice" add a ton of horsepower. At least, that's what the driver wants you to think. Cars like this flame painted Dodge Challenger are a great example of this; all looks (Poor ones at that), no substance.

10 10. Lamborghini Huracan 'Unicorn'

Via: hiconsumption.com

You know what looks good? A Lamborghini Huracan. What isn't, though, is a Lamborghini Huracan that's been stripped of its body panels and replaced with tubing. Unfortunately, that's exactly what designer Alex Choi did to his Lamborghini; dubbing it the 'Unicorn' (Already on its third version). If the idea is to draw attention, then it certainly achieved its goal.

9 9. 2010 Mansory Porsche Panamera Turbo

Via: Motor1.com

The Porsche Panamera wasn't well received upon release. A lot of critics (Including Top Gear hosts) destroyed the Panamera for its ugliness, but still praise the performance capabilities. To possibly ameliorate the Panamera's problem, Mansory worked on redoing it. Like the Stallone F12, though, they only added unnecessary parts and charged a higher M.S.R.P.

8 8. Deadmau5' Nyan Cat Ferrari 458 Spider

Via: autoevolution.com

More so than any other vehicle here, Deadmau5' Nyan Cat wrapped Ferrari 458 Spider was a huge source of controversy. Ferrari, in fact, were so mad that the artist had done this to their creation that they threatened to revoke several Ferrari owner privileges and serious litigation. Finally, Deadmau5 submitted and moved to a McLaren Lamborghini and GT-R.

7 7. Death Race 2000 Corvette

Via: https://wall.alphacoders.com/

This car is more excusable than many of the rest, particularly because it was produced for a movie. That movie is Death Race 2000, an old film about a dystopian society where people can take part in a deadly race. The Corvette C3 seen above was one of those cars. The reptile/alligator theme probably looked cool back in 1975, but, now, it just looks weird.

6 6. Mid-Engine V8 Jaguar E-Type

Via: engineswapdepot.com

If it is an existing vehicle, it's likely that somebody, somewhere, has done something either crazy or stupid to it. Regrettably, the precious Jaguar E-type (XKE) isn't free from the habits of man, as demonstrated by this mad-man's mid-engine V8-swapped Jaguar E-type. It, clearly, took a lot of work, yet, it begs the question: Why? Why ruin a work of art with something so absurd.

5 5. Silver Knight Mustang GT

Via: automationgame.com

Due to the Mustang GT's low entry cost, high power output, and sports car/muscle car status, a lot of fledgling car lovers will swarm towards it. Similar to the Honda Civic, since everyone can get one and they're popular in motor sports, it was evident that something like this 'Silver Knight' Ford Mustang would, in time, come to pass.

4 4. Morohoshi-san Lamborghini Diablo

Via: Twitter (@BBC_TopGear)

Nowhere in the world is as flamboyant and interesting as the Japanese and their culture. However, there is a "too far" when it comes to showiness and bright colors (Popular in Japan), such as Morohoshi-san's wild Diablo.

The Diablo embodies everything Japan, including the unnecessary stuff. Of course, the Morohoshi Diablo is neat, yet, overdone in terms of exterior design.

3 3. Lifted Chevrolet Camaro

Via: reddit.com (volunteer_drainplug)

If you've ever lived in an urban landscape or populated areas, you have most likely seen a vehicle like this Chevrolet Camaro. For some reason, there's still a significant portion of the population who really like large-wheeled lifted cars. All we do is hope that it'll fade away eventually.

2 2. Toyota Supra

Via: carbuzz.com

Imagine this: You have one of the greatest J.D.M. cars in existence, the Toyota Supra. Instead of tastefully modding it and exploiting the amazing 2JZ engine, you turn it into a disgusting Fast and Furious rip-off. Well, that's what this owner did to his. Please, someone, send this man some help!

1 1. Batmobile Miata

Via: reddit.com (Sloppyjones)

Does this photo really need explaining as to why it's horrible? Honestly, though, nobody in their right mind would ever do something like this to a Miata. You could always take it to the track, use it for Sunday driving, stance it, but no; the best thing to do is make it into a low-rate Batmobile...
