14 Panoz Esperante GT-1
The Panoz Esperante GT-1 was only ever meant to be a racing supercar, and nothing else. The vehicle is made purely for the track and is devoid of everyday luxuries you find in other supercars. The designers wanted to make sure that everything was as light as possible. At the heart, you'd find a Ford-based V8 that produces 500-horsepower!
13 MG X-Power SV Coupe
A unique car, the MG X-Power SV Coupe, is one of the rare examples of British-American hybrid cars. It's an aggressive-looking machine that offers muscle car performance in a European body. At its heart, you'll find a 4.6-liter V8 Mustang engine that's capable of churning out 320 horsepower. It's a proper road warrior!
12 Zenvo ST1
On the first impression, you would expect that the Danish would come up with a sensible supercar. However, the Zenvo ST1 is as exciting to drive as it is to look at. It's powered by an LS7 V8 engine, which you would originally find in the Chevy Camaro. However, a little Danish tinkering, means the output is now up to 1,100 horsepower!
11 TVR Griffith
Zenvo is responsible for reviving TVR and coming out with the Griffith. The British company had to end production due to financial troubles, but this car marks a comeback. At the heart of this brilliant little supercar, you'll find a 5.0-liter Mustang V8 engine. It's capable of producing 500-horsepowers and feels right at home!
10 DeTomaso Pantera GT-5 S
We'll forgive you for not hearing about this supercar before, as it is incredibly rare. De Tomaso is an Argentinian-Italian carmaker, and the initial models of the car had Ford Cleveland V8s. The engine would produce 330 horsepower and offer decent performance. It's one of those cars that car collectors would love owning
9 Iso Grifo
Iso is one of the many Italian carmakers that are no longer producing automobiles today, but in the 60s, they made the Grifo. It was the Italian version of the Corvette, and at heart, you would find a Chevy V8. While the drive of the car feels distinctly American, everything else is distinctly Italian.
8 Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada
During the 60s, Giotto Bizzarrini worked for Ferrari and was well known in the automobile industry. After his termination, he took over production for Iso and came up with the 5300 GT Strada. The car is the street version of a racing vehicle and uses an American V8 engine. It produces a massive 400 horsepower!
7 Koenigsegg CCR
The CCR is the car responsible for taking over the top speed crown from the McLaren F1. Powering this beast is a 4.7-liter twin-supercharged V8 that's based on a Ford Modular engine. The result is a car that produces 806 horsepower and weighs only 1,180kg. It can do 0-60mph in a blazingly fast 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 241 mph!
6 Ultima Evolution Coupe
The Evolution Coupe comes from British automobile manufacturer Ultima and is one of the scariest supercars out there. It's got a monster 6.8-liter supercharged V8 that produces a walloping 1,020-horsepower. At the same time, the car weighs an incredible 950 kg, which is almost half the weight of a Veyron!
5 Panther 6
Now all supercars don't necessarily turn out the way automobile manufacturers want them too. The Panther 6 is a six-wheel convertible that came out in 1977, and only two of them ever saw production. Underneath the hood of this weird car, you'd find a Cadillac V8 engine with twin turbochargers! It looks sort of like a boat on wheels!
4 Arash AF10
The AF10 isn't a true production car. However, it is the closest the British automobile manufacturer coming to making an actual production car. Underneath the hood of this beast, you'll find a 7.0-liter-V8 engine that's capable of producing 505-horsepower and had the ability to hit a top speed of 205 mph!
3 Mosler MT900
The Mosler MT900 is Warren Mosler's personal project, and it came out way back in 2001. He was aiming to create an ultra-light car with a massive engine. The engine could produce 350 horsepower and was a 5.7-liter V8. A combination of high power and incredibly lightweight, the MT900 is a proper driver's car!
2 Factory Five GTM
Initially known for their Shelby Cobra Kits, Factor Five, came into the supercar market with the GTM. The car debuted in 2007 and took a lot of parts from the Corvette. One of the parts it took was the firebreathing V8. It took the GTM from 0-60mph in an ultra-quick three seconds!

The Saleen S7 is one of the most gorgeous looking supercars ever to hit the market. Several parts on the car are designed with the help of F1 car manufacturers to help maximize performance. It combines a lot of fancy technology with an incredibly powerful V8 engine to create quite a brilliant car!
