The 1958 Plymouth Fury is one of the best-looking American classic cars, with great proportions and styling that typifies the era of its creation. However, it's probably not a car that you would consider for a role in the Mad Max film. Unless you are a digital car renderer. Highly talented renderer Timothy Adry Emmanuel has decided to create this epic set of renders of the ’58 Plymouth Fury, dubbed Christine 2 and Bad to the Bone, and it makes the car ready for Mad Max.

An Insane Set Of Modifications

Straight away, we see a huge and incredible change to the car when it comes to its appearance. Looking at the front, we instantly see a blower sticking out of the hood, very much in-keeping with muscle car modifications. The biggest thing though is the fact the car is now lifted off the ground, quite dramatically. Emmanuel mentions in his Instagram post that he likes the idea of 1950s tailfin cars becoming Baja builds, and this certainly does turn the Fury into a Baja monster ready to tackle almost any terrain thrown at it.

A Rustic And Well Worn Exterior

The general exterior of the car is quite interesting too. The Fury is in a classic red with white stripes across it, plus a few hints of chrome too. But what makes it that bit different is its rustic appearance, that switches things up a bit and gives it the well-worn appearance so suited for Mad Max. It very much looks like it has done a lot of rallying for the last few years! Other noticeable exterior changes include the light bar atop of the windshield, perfect for any nighttime Baja running. There are a few changes at the back too.

Big Changes At The Fury’s Rear

The changes for the car carry on at the back of the Fury too. Where the trunk would normally be is now a pickup style bed for all the rallying support equipment you need, and in this case, we see two massive spare tires sat on the back of the car.

Underneath, the majority of the rear fascia is mostly cut away, and we can see various bits of the suspension, possibly a new fuel tank too and the axles as well. It's all very exposed, but it is in keeping with the Mad Max and Baja style set the Fury now has.
