There’s a well-worn cliché about turning things "up to eleven", something that once got uttered in the aging faux-documentary, This Is Spinal Tap.

Of course, we’re mentioning this in relation to the C2 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray render we see before us, an exclusive HotCars render courtesy of the ever-ubiquitous digital artist Rostislav Prokop and his magic wand.

That wand works its magic on a classic Chevrolet from the 60s, with plenty of "turning up to 11" resulting in a restomod take on the 50-year-old American sports car icon.

The 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Restomod Isn’t Shy At All

The car render that emerges from the smoke and fire of Rostislav’s rendering shed is no shrinking violet; it’s a bold and aggressive restomod of the iconic 1965 C2 Chevy Corvette Stingray.

As we know, the second-generation C2 Corvette ‘Stingray’ got produced from 1962 to around 1967 and is regularly considered to be one of the most beautiful car designs of all time. Also, the chassis’ ability and performance were incredible for its time.

Here, the iconic and familiar design is the key to this restomod, where the design gets embellished and decorated as far as possible without hiding the key components that make the car loved by many.

The car features a wide-body design in metallic gray and from the side profile shares many design aspects of the original; up to and including the vertical vents behind the front wheels, the sloping rear roofline, and the other vents in the rear pillar.

The car render's wheels are humungous and sit wide in the new bodywork outside the cabin’s compact glasshouse.

Taking A Look At A Different Type Of C2 Chevrolet Corvette

Up front, the slim-line LED lights sit where the pop-up units would normally be, lending the illusion that there still might be other lights hidden beneath swiveling doors beneath the hood – the hood itself features a scoop not normally featured on the 1965 model Corvette which suggests a potent powertrain.

Other LEDs and custom front fender work make the restomod look intimidating and aggressive – a must-have for car renders of this class.

Up back next, where the Stingray restomod reveals more clashing of new and old, we have the curving rear window and the lights. Now LEDs, of course, they combine with the sloping bodywork to really bring back some of the memories of the dainty old-timer.

More aggression lies in the four huge exhaust outlets, and we’re sure that this car isn’t rocking an old engine. While the most obvious choice is Chevy's supercharged LT4 6.2-liter V8 from the C7 Corvette and Camaro ZL1, the best option would be the new high-revving 5.5-liter flat-plane crank LT6 engine from the C8 Corvette Z06.
