The new Ford Bronco is all the rage in the automotive world at the moment, and it seems to be having a very positive influence on classic models of the iconic American SUV. Just this past week, a 1969 Ford Bronco sold on Bring A Trailer for the same price as a brand new Porsche Boxster. While that’s nowhere near the $500,000 that someone once spent on a 1969 model back in 2013, it’s still quite a lot for a classic SUV.

This 1969 Ford Bronco has received a bit of work since it was acquired by the seller in May 2003. The truck was repainted in blue, following the replacement of the floor panels. Additionally, new weatherstripping, door hardware, taillights, grille chrome, and glass were also installed. It was equipped with 15″ steel wheels, which were mounted with new 235/75/15 Toyo Open Country all-terrain tires in June 2018.

Power comes from a 302ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual gearbox and a two-speed transfer case, and additional equipment includes power steering and front disc brakes as well as a PTO-driven winch, a high-capacity fuel tank, a roll cage, LoJack, and an Alpine stereo. The power steering box was rebuilt in 2008 as well as power-assisted front disc brakes.

The interior features bucket seats reupholstered in black with cream piping, while the floors and transmission tunnel are uncovered. The seller also rebuilt the heating system and refurbished the stock white dashboard, as well as installed a black powder-coated roll bar. It has a two-spoke steering wheel, which frames a combination gauge including a five-digit odometer that shows 74k chassis miles. The total mileage, however, remains unknown. In the end the SUV was auctioned off for $57,969.
