The ride is a 1970 Chevrolet Nova with a twin-supercharged 572 cubic inch Chevy big block built by Rob Zahabi, owner of Rides by KAM in Queensland, Australia. Let's check out this special from down under.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Novas. One of my earliest, and fastest, experiences was in a friend's 1972 Chevy Nova with a supercharged 350 engine. It had a giant blower sticking out of the hood, tubbed wheel wells, and made a ton of noise. It was also brutally fast.

Rob's car, however, is on a whole other level. He started by stripping the Nova down to bare metal, removed all the moldings, deleted the quarter vent windows, and extended the sills. Next up he added a custom cowl scoop to the hood, rear spoiler, diffusers, and a mini tub to fit those gargantuan Billet Specialties Velocity 22" x 10" wheels with Falken 305/25/22 sneakers.

2 The Engine

The engine is a Chevy 572 with 2 symmetrical billet F2 ProChargers generating 1,500 hp at the crank. How Rob gets all that power to the ground reliably is by stuffing the engine with forged components throughout topped off with a Weiand intake, Holley Dominator carb, MSD Power Grid, and 4 inch sewer pipe exhaust system.

1 The Results

The look and sound speak for themselves. Rob has put together a beautiful and lightning fast car. But even as I like the murdered aesthetic, I think a little chrome, aluminum, or some other color here or there would break up the theme and make it easier for the eye to appreciate. What do you think? Buckle up.
