Dodge Chargers and Challengers are some of the most iconic muscle cars from the '60s and '70s. Although these cars are always popular, the 1970 Dodge Charger From Fast and Furious was a turning point because it added new life and desirability to this classic muscle car.

Ever since then, prices on the 1960s and '70s Dodge muscle cars continue to rise in value. If you're wondering how much a classic 1970 Dodge Charger is worth today, clean examples sell for $50,000 to $100,000 according to Classic.com

Since Dodge produced over 10,000 Chargers in 1970, finding a neglected example is an interesting opportunity. If you can restore an abused classic muscle car without spending a lot of money, you can potentially sell it for a profit.

In the video, Nick Panaritis, the owner of Indy Auto and Nick's Garage YouTube channel continues to restore a rat-infested 1970 Dodge Charger R/T to build someone's ultimate dream classic muscle car.

About This 1970 Dodge Charger

In the previous video, a highly neglected 1970 Dodge Charger R/T arrives at Nick's Garage. The car's original engine is a 440 Six Pack which produces an impressive 390 hp in stock form. The car originally came with an automatic transmission, but the plan is to convert it to a 4-speed manual.

After stripping the car of most of its sheet metal, Nick finds the car is in much worse shape than he imagined.

One of the main issues with these types of restorations is the availability of parts. In many cases, the parts are no longer available, so rebuilding or finding an aftermarket solution are the only options.

The good news is that the fenders, doors, frame rails, trunk, and front end are all solid and require very little restoration. Unfortunately, rust makes an appearance in many places on the car.

Finally, Nick finds another nice surprise behind the dashboard in form of several rats' nests. This is common in older cars but Nick states this is the worst rats nest of his career in car restoration.

While this car is nowhere close to finished in the video, Nick is looking forward to restoring this 1970 Dodge Charger R/T because it is someone's dream car. Like several other examples in his YouTube channel, we are confident he can make this one a success as well.
