The Dodge Charger has been on the road since more than 55 years ago. Even dilapidated models are more than good enough to become project cars. So, when Nick Panaritis of the Nick’s Garage YouTube channel found a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T on sale, he simply had to take it to his garage for a new project

A Worn-Down Charger Muscle As A Project Car

It’s undeniable that the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T has become one of the most-sought after classic muscle cars. It is even popular among the generation of millennials, thanks to the fact that a heavily modified 1970 Dodge Charger R/T was the drive choice of one of the main protagonists of the Fast & Furious film franchise – Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). Older versions were also featured in other movies.

But for Nick, the reason for taking this worn-down 1970 Dodge Charger R/T isn’t because of Dom or the Fast & Furious films. He is simply a lover of classic muscles. Nick tries to give these old models a new lease of life by meticulously restoring (and modifying them if possible) them back to their former glories. He just can’t ignore even worn-down classics such as this 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.

Nick has his mind made up: he is going to fully restore this 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. During a quick inspection, the classic muscle was really in a bad condition. Rust is almost everywhere on the exterior, and the green paint finish isn’t even holding out.

Even a small kid could tell that this 1970 Dodge Charger R/T won’t run anymore – after all, Nick had it hauled into the garage on a trailer. According to the owner (now previous owner), the car has many parts already missing, including its windows.

Inside the garage, Nick and his crew took another look at the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. The car’s interior was simply in terrible condition, while all things underneath — including its mechanical and related parts and components — were either severely out of shape or missing. The crew also tapped on various sections of the muscle car (including its paint job) to determine its true condition.

Nick and his crew are now facing a great challenge. Even Nick admitted that this 1970 Dodge Charger R/T is in rough shape; they would need to plan carefully on how to proceed with this restoration project. They’re not deterred, though, especially because they have the expertise and experience for this job.
