If you’re a classic 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda or HEMI 'Cuda fan, there’s a one-of-a-kind of opportunity where you can grab both the hardtop and the convertible at the same time. Slated to go under the hammer at Barrett-Jackson’s 2022 Las Vegas Auction, June 30 to July 2, 2022, it simply does not get better than this.

The hardtop King Kong Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda is a rare 1971 example while the convertible is a matching-numbers 1971 ‘Cuda. Painted in beautiful Rally Red, both of them boast a rotisserie restoration. The listings also have no reserve. With that in mind, it’s the right time and place to own two of the biggest legends from the muscle car era.

The King Kong 1971 Plymouth HEMI 'Cuda

This 1971 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda is a rare muscle car. It’s one of only 59 copies that came with 4-speed manual transmission in the HEMI ‘Cuda’s final year. It still boasts its original V8 engine, fender tag, and full build sheet so that’s like icing on the cake.

It’s equipped with a rare “Super Track Pak” option that was exclusive for 440/426 cars with 4 speeds at the time. Under the hood, this 4:10 Dana Super Track Pak muscle car hides a massive 426 cubic-inch (7.0-liter) HEMI V8 hammering out 425 horsepower. Armed with a pistol-grip shifter, the stunning ‘Cuda is the rarest-of-rare classic harking back to the glory days of the original muscle car era.

1971 Plymouth 'Cuda Convertible

With the HEMI above comes a numbers-matching 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda convertible powered by a 383 cubic-inch V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This bears a pistol grip shifter as well and comes in Rally Red with black graphics bearing the engine displacement. The buyer will get a build sheet as well as copies of the paperwork with the car for authentication purposes.

Both cars are the pinnacle of original Mopar performance and will be up for grabs at the 2022 Las Vegas Auction in the Las Vegas Convention Center – West Hall. The bid is at “No Reserve” meaning the car will sell no matter what the final bid amount is. That said, the HEMI ‘Cuda and the ‘Cuda convertible are both collectible Holy Grail cars, so they are likely to cost an arm and a leg. The cars are a definite dream for any MOPAR fan, and it will make for an interesting auction to how much that dream will take to acquire.
