The Lamborghini Murcielago is one of the modern Lamborghini classics. The Italian company has made many great cars such as the Countach and latterly the Sian. But many have a soft spot for the epic Murcielago, and it is very much a model of Lamborghini that we miss greatly. For those who want to own one, a stunning 2005 Murcielago roadster is for sale on Mecum auctions. This is one of just 49 roadsters, and one of two produced in Grigio Avlon.
A Sensationally Rare Murcielago
This very much makes this one of the rarest examples of the Murcielago. Built in 2005, just two of the 49 roadsters are in this Grigio Avlon color. Under the hood of this Murcielago is a 6.2-liter V12 engine that produces 571 hp, and it comes with a gated six-speed manual transmission. The Murcielago is well run in with 43,626 on the clock, but compared to what most every day cars will do, that is not a huge amount of mileage in the slightest. That Grigio Avlon color is truly stunning, and it shows a deep reflection, depth and clarity with the silver alloy wheels bringing a touch of light to contrast the main color.
A Great Interior With A Sense Of Purpose
The interior of the car matches the exterior with its two-tone gray and black color, and that includes leather and suede detailing. The shifter for the Murcielago is in aluminum, which will give the driver a sense of purpose whenever they shift and change gears. The shifter strides out rather purposefully according to Mecum from the center console. And something else that is very satisfying is the clarity on the gauges, which are very legible and almost like they were when the car left the factory.
One Of Lamborghini’s Greatest Cars
The Murcielago comes with a few goodies too. The car is complete with the OEM car cover and storage bag, OEM seat covers, top with all the bracing and top storage bag as well. The Murcielago also has its manuals and tool kit with unused gloves, two keys and service records. There is a radio, but it is aftermarket, however it does also come with the original radio and CD changer for those who want to refit it. Mecum estimate the Murcielago roadster will go for $335,000-$385, 000, and it is part of their Glendale 2022 auction from March 16-19, 2022.
