The Jeep Wrangler is not new in the automobile scene in the United States. Its iconic shape and powerful reputation still stand true today — it is even better. Over the years, it has forged a special place for itself in the ranks of the most durable and reliable sports-utility vehicles in America.

The origin of the Jeep Wrangler is traceable to the 1940s, and the car has kept its appeal even to contemporary times. The restyling of the Jeep Wrangler in 2018 even got better with the 2019 model of the car.

We know the Jeep Wrangler as a thorough-breed, off-road capable car with nothing less than stellar performance, easily recognizable, thanks to its unique and masculine design. The 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL stayed true to the identity of "an off-road behemoth" and offered even more with upgraded features. The car now has more color range as we have seen new paint colors like bikini added to the existing colors available.

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler isn't just for the off-road. There are some improvements on the body-on-frame vehicle for daily commuting duties, thanks to upgrades in drivetrain and new advanced safety features, although we wouldn't advise you to turn it into your everyday commuting car. Let's take a closer look at the iconic car.

Interiors And Infotainment

The interiors of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler look masculine to go with the unique, iconic design of the car. The interiors of the Wrangler stand out just like the exterior and cannot be mistaken for that of any other car.

The upright sitting position gives the occupants a fuller and more commanding view of their environment. For a better off-road experience, the car sports a removable roof that offers a better open-air experience and doors that can come off easily if the driver would rather have it that way.

The user-friendly infotainment of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler oozes a modern and vintage aura. It has a simple dashboard with a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that is not too big to wrestle for attention and not too small to be unnoticeable. It has an option of Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The option of a nine-speaker Alpine audio system and navigation system is also available.

Performance And Features

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler sports a powerful Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine that can generate 285 horsepower and 26lb-ft of torque. The engine can be paired with a powerful smooth-shifting six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The car also sports an all-new automatic, all-wheel-drive system and powerful suspensions.

The option of a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is also available. This engine comes with eTorque technology, coughing out 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The six-speed manual transmission has an acceleration record of 0 - 60mph in 6.1 seconds, which is pretty impressive for an off-road behemoth. The handling of the car has also been improved — although you should not expect it to move like a sports sedan, but the driveability is still top-notch, even on rough terrains.

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler also has more advanced safety features. The car is fitted with a new Forward Collision Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control, which makes it safer to drive around the town. Other features available in the car include; chunky switchgear for the climate-control system, power window, power and heated seats were offered and some other cool features. The space available for cargo is also larger on the 2019 Wrangler compared to the preceding models. The car also ticks the box of good fuel economy. It has 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler comes in four models: Sport, Sport S, Rubicon, Sahara (The Sahara is available only in 4 doors). Each trim offers different options and experiences. For example, the Rubicon is the heavy-duty variant, and it sports advanced features for off-road duties. To own the base model of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler, it will cost $28,045. However, to own other advanced trim, the price is considerably higher. The price tag on this iconic car however looks like a bargain if we consider the value a proud owner of this hardcore off-road car will get in return.
