The 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon will feature an amazing car auction with a ton of classic Japanese sports cars and exotic supercars.

While Detroit gears up for the North America International Auto Show, Tokyo is getting ready to host the largest aftermarket parts and tuner show in Asia. The Tokyo Auto Salon brings all the big Japanese carmakers together to celebrate their latest and greatest creations, or to show off how old cars can be made better than new with a few aftermarket upgrades and some elbow grease.

Also happening at the Tokyo Auto Salon is a car auction unlike any other. Fifty lots are up for the highest bidder (in Yen, naturally) and each one of them is like a page out of automotive history.

It being Tokyo, the BH Auction is mostly going to sell Japanese automobiles, but there’s a few from around the world too. We’ll start with the Japanese makes though, since they’re arguably some of the most impressive we’ve ever seen.

Skyline
via BH Auction

Starting with a 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur. Only 750 of these pristine cars were ever made and each came with an upgraded limited-slip diff, improved aerodynamics, a rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber hood. Power came from a 2.6-L twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder engine with 327 hp, although Nissan advertised it as having only 276 hp. That’s a pretty wide variance, and more than one Skyline driver was shocked at the car’s pull.

Other highlights include a 1971 Nissan Fairlady Z 432, a highly tuned 2008 HKS TF Kamikaze R Super Sonic (R35-gen GT-R), and a 1959 Mitsubishi Willys Jeep CJ3 from back when Mitsubishi still made licensed Jeeps.

Viper
via BH Auction

There are a ton more Skylines, Fairlady Zs, and Honda S roadsters to choose from, so any classic import enthusiast will be spoiled for choice.

But there’s more than just classic sports cars from Japan at this auction. Also up for sale are Porsches, Audis, BMWs, and even a Ford Shelby GT500 from 2014. Other highlights include a 2003 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe Formula Drift car, a 2014 Taisan Audi R8 Fukushima Super-GT LMS Ultra, and a 1987 Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Specials.
