Sooner or later, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be produced and then delivered to their waiting owners. So, I figured that I’d visit Chevrolet’s online configurator for the latest iteration of the Stingray. Just be warned that this is how I would like my Stingray to look. If you're interested in configuring one of your own, head on over to the website.

Configuration, Trim And Package

For starters, I picked the coupe version of the Stingray in 3LT trim with the available Z51 Performance Package. In this trim, my Stingray is powered by 6.2-liter V8 DI engine delivering 495 hp of max output and 470 lb.-ft. of peak torque. With the package, a Stingray can zoom from nil to 60 mph in under 3 seconds. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual clutch transmission.

The Z51 Performance Package includes Performance exhaust, Z51 performance suspension and Brembo brakes, Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) and heavy-duty cooling system. The package also includesZ51-specific front splitter and rear spoiler as well as Michelin Pilot Sport 4S high performance tires.

Net price at this point is $76,945.

Exterior Looks

My version of the Stingray is wrapped in Accelerate Yellow Metallic with a full-length dual racing stripe in Carbon Flash Metallic finish. This exterior finish is complemented by five-trident-spoked machined-face Spectra Gray-painted aluminum wheels, which show the yellow painted brake calipers inside. The Jake logo wheel center caps look so cool, so I included them in my cart.

I didn’t pick any roof package as I find it too much of a hassle to install and remove them. However, I did choose the Ground Effects Kit in visible carbon fiber as well as set of slash guards.

Net price is now at $86,340.

Interior Appearance

For the interior, I opted for Napa leather seating surfaces (in Jet Black) with perforated inserts. However, I swapped the standard GT2 bucket seats with the Competition Sport version. To match the exterior finish, I changed the color of the seat belt and the leather stitching to yellow.

The carbon fiber interior trim (for the cluster-surround as well as console and door switch plates) is hard to resist, so I opted for it. Also tempting is the personalized interior plaque, which would include my name, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the Corvette crossed flags logo.

At this point of configuration, the net price already reached $89,330.

Stingray Accessories

Lastly, I decided to pick a jump starter and a 94-piece tool kit. I just have the feeling that I might need them someday. That's $689 worth of accessories, so the final price for my Stingray has now reached $90,019! But of course, this is the Stingray I wanted. Which one did you choose?
