The Nissan Frontier is one pickup truck that could be counted on for off-roading trips. As a way to tout this capability, Nissan is sending a NISMO-boosted Frontier to the women's-only 2020 Rebelle Rally. To be piloted by Team Wild Grace co-captains Sedona Blinson and Lyn Woodward, this Frontier is fitted with a new line of off-road parts from NISMO – sending a message that the performance brand isn't just about sports cars.
Suspension Kit Optimized For Off-Roading
The Rebelle Rally-prepped Nissan Frontier comes installed with the NISMO off-road performance suspension kit, which is tuned to carry the additional weight of various equipment such as camping gear. Allowing the Frontier ride higher by up to two inches, this new kit can make the truck an incredible overlanding vehicle.
NISMO's off-road suspension kit features monotube, gas-pressurized shocks with digressive valving designed to react even to the most demanding off-road and trail conditions. This new suspension kit features front and rear shocks for additional wheel travel. Its rear shocks make use of remote reservoir technology for optimal performance in challenging situations.
Off-Road Bumper And LED Lighting
Also installed on the Frontier is the NISMO off-road bumper. The first of new off-road bumpers for Nissan's trucks and SUVs, this part is made from high-tensile steel and finished with textured powder coat. Designed for optimum strength and durability even when the truck is facing challenging off-road conditions, this new bumper has two attachment points for recovery shackles and lights accommodation.
In partnership with Rigid Industries, NISMO created a new line of LED off-road lighting. NISMO is offering pod lamps (round or square) and light bars in various sizes and beam patterns. The Rebelle Rally Frontier is equipped with a set of six-inch round driving lamps with aluminum housings and white accent backlighting.
Custom Off-Road Wheels
Rounding off the new NISMO offerings are new off-road wheels custom-designed for NISMO. Load-rated for 1,950 lbs, these 17 x 7.5-inch wheels are finished in Axis Gray and feature a NISMO center cap.
NISMO's new off-road parts can be availed starting this fall for the Frontier (2005-2020 model years), TITAN (2016-2021 model years) and Xterra (2005-2015 model years). These new NISMO parts can also be fitted for the next-gen Frontier.
