Automobile maker GM continues its streak of producing spacious, good-looking, full-size SUVs with the unveiling and upcoming release of the 2021 Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban. The new models are larger and contain more tech and safety features than previous years. They also have taken a few notes from the recently redesigned Chevrolet Silverado, such as a new grille with horizontal bars and LED signature lights.

The new models come with a handful of high powered engine options. Each of the engines comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, but offer different power levels. The available vehicles include the 3.0L diesel engine with 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, a 5.3L V8 with 355 horsepower, and a 6.2L V8 with 420 horsepower. With a new optional air suspension system and improved handling features, the vehicles are smoother than ever, despite their size.

An interior redesign is also included in the new versions of the Tahoe and Suburban. CNBC reports that the Tahoe will now include 66% more cargo room behind the third row and the Suburban comes in with 19% more cargo space behind the first row. Interior tech features are also improved with offerings like a 10-inch diagonal center infotainment screen, rear seat touchscreens, and 30 other driver convenience enhancing features.

Release dates and price points for the new models haven’t yet been released, but likely will be soon. Though the Suburban and Tahoe reportedly accounted for 45% of non-luxury SUV sales through October, GM produces other notable SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon as well - so give those a peek while waiting for more news.
