The Tahoe is available in six different versions: the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. While you can instantly recognize each acclaimed model due to Chevrolet's signature wide grille, the High Country is closer to the ground and the Z71 has an elevated height. We highly recommend the RST due to its impeccable, attractive appearance. The Z71's robust look is also impressive, and we encourage thrill-seekers to take a look at this version. The Z71's length is a whopping 210.7 inches, and its height is 75.9 inches.

Personalizing this car is a dream, as buyers can choose from nine colors: Graywood Metallic, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Satin Steel Metallic, Summit White, Black, Shadow Grey Metallic, Empire Beige Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat.

According to the Chevrolet website, the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe's starting price is $49,000. The High Country starts at $69,600, the Premier starts at $62,600, and the Z71 starts at $59,200. Its staggering capabilities mean that the Tahoe's main contenders are the Nissan Armada, Ford Expedition, and Toyota Land Cruiser.

Interior

One of the most remarkable things about the Tahoe is its spacious cabin. Now, even the cabin has upgraded. The 2021 Tahoe's third-row was extended by 10 inches, and this means a grown adult has more legroom. It's no secret that the Tahoe is an excellent choice for adventures and traveling to new places with friends because of its roomy interior: Reporters from Car and Driver could put six carry-on bags behind the third row.

Buyers can further select one of two available interiors: Jet Black or Jet Black/Mocha. Heated second-row seats and steering wheel guarantee warmth and comfort in cold temperatures. The seats could have better leather and the interior doesn't have a full trimmed finish. It's surprising to see the quality when paying such a price, but other stunning features mean we can overlook these two shortcomings. You may notice another difference, as a push-button-and-slider setup is now a substitute for the previous column shifter.

The Tahoe's engine is a testament to the car's mighty power: The car is equipped with a 5.3 liter V8 engine that can generate 355 horsepower. Gas mileage is pretty nice for such a gigantic car, as the Tahoe has 16 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

Each Tahoe model has a 10-speed automatic transmission, and owners can choose between a rear or all-wheel drive. The Tahoe's execution has no problem, as acceleration is smooth and there's no delay when pressing the accelerator pedal. Another impressive feat is the minimal cabin noise when the Tahoe is on the highway.

Other Remarkable Features

The Tahoe's design, interior, and engine aren't the only commendable parts of this car. Chevrolet proves that it's a technologically-savvy manufacturer, as the Tahoe comes with a 10.2-inch touchscreen. This touchscreen's position is convenient, as it's not ingrained into the dashboard. Instead, it's right on top.

The car accepts Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Carrying a bunch of passengers that have phones running out of battery life? There's no reason to be worried, as the Tahoe has a bunch of charging ports inside. The entertainment opportunities onboard are endless, as music lovers will adore the Bose audio system and there are two 12.6 inch displays on the back of the front seats.

Another feature worth mentioning is safety. While the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety have not evaluated the Tahoe yet, the Tahoe's most crucial safety components include forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warnings, and lane-keeping assistance.

The Tahoe's warranty can be improved, as there's insufficient protection. The limited warranty includes 36,000 miles or three years. 60,000 miles fits under the powertrain warranty umbrella. Nonetheless, this shouldn't deter car fanatics from purchasing the Tahoe. The Tahoe is our go-to choice for hauling trailers and boats.

Overall, few SUVs are as sturdy and tough as the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. We're adding this electrifying car to our list that includes all the future cars we're excited about. The only problem you will have is deciding whether you want the Tahoe or its counterpart, the Yukon, after finding out about what the Yukon did earlier this year.
