Vin No. 001 of the new Ram 1500 TRX has rolled off the production line as the first of many from the Sterling Heights plant in Michigan. This first truck will be auctioned off for charity and sets the new bar for how capable a performance pickup can be. Dodge—never one to shy away from a fight—hasn't really built a vehicle to fill this space since the Viper-powered Dodge Ram SRT-10. The Ram 1500 TRX is somehow even more bonkers than the SRT-10 and surprisingly practical in every other sense not related to fuel mileage.

The First 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Is Sure To Attract Buyers

We all know about the many good things that the TRX has to offer: the 707 horsepower engine, the wildly capable and nimble suspension, and the performance of a 1990s supercar. What makes VIN No. 001 special—aside from its number—are all the additional options.

First, it gets a special Anvil exterior paint. As a launch edition, it also gets brushed aluminum and red and carbon-fiber interior accents, Beadlock capable wheels, a 19-speaker premium sound system, and more. It really is a complete package that can transport the whole family, get work done on the job site, and go have some incredibly quick off-roading fun. Just don't ask it to get 15 mpg.
