Toyota’s Tundra full-size pickup truck follows the mantra, “Work hard, play hard.” For the 2021 model year, the Tundra will definitely be singing the “play” tune, as Toyota introduces the new Trail and Nightshade Special Editions and a new exterior color for the truck's TRD Pro version. Let’s take a closer look at the 2021 iteration of the Toyota Tundra.
Trail Edition For Outdoor Lovers
Toyota created the Tundra Trail Special Edition for truck customers who like to engage in outdoor adventures such as camping, fishing, and hiking. For their sake, the Trail Edition features extra storage and convenience, including lockable bed storage. Since it’s derived from the Tundra SR5 Crew Max with SR5 Upgrade Package, the Trail Edition features a larger fuel tank, front bucket seats, as well as three front cupholders.
Available in either 2WD or 4WD, the Trail Edition can be optioned in Army Green, Cement, Midnight Black, and Super White, complemented by black exterior badging and black seating with tan stitching. Riding on special-edition wheels, the Trail Edition dons the chrome grille of the line-topper Tundra 1794 Edition. The 2021 Toyota Tundra Trail Edition starts with an MRSP of $41,970.
Nightshade Edition For Sinister Looks
On the other hand, the 2021 Toyota Tundra Nightshade Edition is especially created for those who want a more sinister-looking pickup truck. Based on the Tundra Limited grade model, the 2021 Nightshade Tundra features a darkened chrome grille, black mirror caps and black door handles, as well as black wheels and exhaust tip.
Available in four exterior colors -- Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Windchill Pearl and Super White – the Tundra Nightshade Edition comes with black leather-trim seating. It will be available either as 2WD or 4WD, with a starting MSRP of $43,390.
New Color For Tundra TRD Pro
Meanwhile, the off-road focused 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro will see a new exterior color as well. Joining Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic is the all-new color Lunar Rock, which effectively replaces Army Green. The 2021 Tundra TRD Pro has a starting price of $48,775.
