Honda has teased the introduction of its new racing version of the Civic Si sport trim by uploading a video of the car onto the Honda YouTube channel of the car undergoing testing in a camouflaged paint scheme. The car in the video is being tested by the Team Honda Research West, with the car running at Thunderhill Raceway as it is going through its testing program. The new 2022 Civic Si racer is set to make its official race debut at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, which will of course allow us to see the car in an uncamouflaged livery.

The Sportier Trim For The Civic

The Si trim is the sportier trim set available on the Honda Civic, and this teaser confirms that the new styling for the Civic that we saw back in April will nicely suit the Si sport trim when it is available to the masses. The camouflage livery applied to this testbed doesn’t give the game away too much as to what’s going on underneath.

We can though see the giant rear spoiler and what looks like a much more aggressive rear-end styling. Don’t expect the wing on the production version, however, although we are sure some mods will be available for such a wing in the future.
