The Bros FOURR Speed YouTube Channel brings us a new video showcasing the brand new 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack. The car in question is boasting an MSRP of $112,000. This is admittedly supercar money but is also taking into account the $18,000 carbon fiber option.

Even with a price of over 6 figures, the top-of-the-line Mustang achieves crazy levels of performance that rivals cars much more expensive.

The Statistics Of The Carbon Fiber Mustang

At the 35-second second mark, our host jumps right into the specifications of the vehicle. Under the hood, we find a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 pumping out 760 hp at 7,300 rpm and 625 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The car is still relatively heavy even with the carbon fiber package and weighs around 4200 lbs. Despite this weight disadvantage, the car will still do 0-60 in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 180 MPH.

The first thing they noticed on the exterior are the 20x11 inch 7-spoke fully carbon fiber wheels that come with the carbon fiber option. The wheels wrap around huge 6 piston Brembo brake calipers in the front and 4 piston calipers in the rear. The front end of the car has some extreme air scoops and intakes to keep the massive engine cool. The white paint gleams in the sunlight and matches perfectly with the orange stripes and carbon fiber inserts.

The interior offers a wide range of tasteful engineering as well. The door trim panels come in black leather with beautiful white inserts and white stitching as are the front seats. Since this is a GT500, the car does not come with rear seats but is available as an option. The steering wheel offers a beautiful Alcantara finish and is home to over 20 buttons.

The leather theme does run through the vehicle on the dash all the way down to the center console. The only carbon fiber that's found on the interior is over the passenger side glove box where we can also find the Shelby Chassis number plaque.

At 11:30, we witness the view of the Mustang on the road from the driver's perspective. The host tells us that the car sounds absolutely great and the handling is extremely precise. He tells us if we want a beast of a Mustang this is it. Is it worth $112,000? Our host says yes but ultimately that's up to you. Given the rarity of the sports car, expect to pay some sort of dealer markup if you're in the market for one of these amazing vehicles.
