In 1963, Jeep launched a new innovative vehicle, the Jeep Wagoneer. The SUV was ahead of others in its class, and production continued until 1991 when the automobile was discontinued. Some thirty years after, the Wagoneer brand is making a return to the Jeep lineup, but this time, the Wagoneer is set to be a subbrand with a distinct identity.
The idea of a sub-brand is not an entirely new concept, as other automakers like Ford have previously experimented with the idea to massive success in their Bronco and Mustang nameplates. Boasting superior luxury features than most of its likely competition, the Wagoneer is set to be launched with a more luxurious model, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. 10 Highly Competitive Price For A Luxury SUV
American carmakers Jeep plans to launch its two new SUVs, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and the Jeep Wagoneer, with the latter coming at a more affordable rate. The SUV is Priced at around $59,995 for the base model Series I, while the Series II comes in for $69,995. We have the Series III and Series II Premium at the higher end of the scale, which start at $74,995 and $79,270, respectively.
Even with a destination charge that should be in the $1,650 region, the vehicle is expected to be a price leader in its class.

The inside of the Jeep Wagoneer is decidedly luxurious and has plenty of space. With the capacity to seat at least seven passengers, the Wagoneer does not trade comfort for the room. The carmakers claim that it has enough space to accommodate eight passengers with an optional second row on the Wagoneer.
For cargo, the total luggage space behind the third row is 27.4 cubic ft, while the entire area from the front seat backward measures 116.7 cubic ft.
7 The Wagoneer's Performance
All Trims of the new Wagoneer will have a 5.7-liter V8 engine that should churn out 404 lb-ft of torque and 392hp. The engine will be aided by a 48-volt hybrid system which can provide an additional 130 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can add four-wheel drive to the standard eight-speed automatic transmission if they are looking to maximize the off-road capabilities of this vehicle.
Although the fuel economy ratings for the automobile are not yet released, it can tow up to 10,00 lbs, according to Jeep.
6 It Comes With State-of-the-art Infotainment System
In a bid to outdo its rivals, like the Lincoln Navigator, and Cadillac Escalade, Jeep expertly fits every available technology into the Wagoneer. A prominent feature of the Wagoneer is the availability of big screens. Apart from the 10.3 inches digital dash cluster, there is also a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with the latest Uconnect 5.
There is also a 10.3 optional screen on the passenger seat that supports Amazon's Fire TV for auto. Second-row passengers can also get in on the act with a 10.1-inch screen controlled by a front seat passenger.
5 Its Legendary Predecessor
While the 2022 Wagoneer might sound like a new entrance to younger car enthusiasts, the name has been previously floated by Jeep. The original Jeep Wagoneer was first built in 1962 and was discontinued in 1991. It is the prototype on which most SUVs are built, and in 1966, Jeep built a high-end 4WD model known as the Super Wagoneer.
The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer is in decent company, too, as it is set to be released alongside the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
4 It Has Advanced Driver Assistance Technology
The Jeep Wagoneer will employ advanced technology to give drivers the best experience. Some safety features include a 360° Surround View Camera that helps provide you with a view of everything happening around your vehicle and an Intersection Collision Assist that warns the driver of approaching vehicles.
Other safety features include Pedestrian and Cyclist Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Cross Path Detection, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a Night Vision Camera that detects animal and human movement.

3 A Jeep Without Its Badge
The Wagoneer is a large car and follows the imposing design of Jeep, sharing lots of similarities with the original. Jeep badges are nowhere to be found on the vehicle. Instead, "WAGONEER" is scripted boldly on the front grille and the tailgates. On either side of the vehicle, there is an American flag, along with the WAGONEER badge.
Jeep's seven-slot grille sits higher than usual on the hood and is tilted forward. Also Worthy of note is the rear window, which has a boxed upright shape.
2 It's Not Trail Rated
Despite all the fantastic assets on this vehicle, One noticeable thing about the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer is the absence of the "Trail Rated" badge standard among Jeep automobiles. For a Jeep to earn this badge, it must be tested in five different aspects: water fording, ground clearance, traction, articulation, and maneuverability.
Considering the size of the Wagoneer, it is not optimized to be an off-road vehicle. However, features like the drive mode selector and an air suspension that give the Wagoneer an extra 3.6 inches off the ground mean it won't perform too poorly.
1 It Comes In Multiple Trims
Three major models are available on the Jeep Wagoneer, with the standard model, known as Series I, equipped with a rear-wheel drive, while the other two models, the Series II and Series III, come with a 4WD feature. On all trims, the second row comes with optional second-row armrests.
The Series II has two variants; premium and standard, while the Series III also has two variants; Premium and Off-Road.
