What further complements the engine is the crisp gearbox, with adequately short gearing for the initial gears and taller final gears. This makes it exceptional in both cities and on the highways.

One of the reasons for the excellent gas mileage is due to the taller fifth and sixth gear, which makes it a superior highway tourer. The top-notch gas mileage combined with an adequate tank capacity helps the motorcycle to achieve a combined range of more than 225 miles.
8 Crisp And Feature-Packed TFT Display
Since the motorcycle sees no changes from the 2021 iteration, the TFT display remains unchanged. This display is adequately bright and reveals all the necessary information. The viewing angles are decent too. However, we wish it was a bit bigger since some of the rivals have a much larger TFT display.
All the necessary information like the gear position indicator, speed, engine temperature, RPM, time, and warnings are displayed in this instrument cluster. Along with that, the Tiger Sport 660 also reveals the riding modes through this display, which can be accessed through the buttons placed on the handlebar. With the optional Bluetooth module, navigation, music, calls, messages, and many more can be viewed as well.
7 Comes Loaded With All The Required Features
This middleweight tourer comes with all the necessary features, most of which are offered as standard. When it comes to riding, the features like ride-by-wire throttle with a switchable traction control system, multiple riding modes (road and rain), ABS, and the slip & assist clutch are some of the main ones.
Apart from that, a full-LED headlight with LED DRLs, LED taillight and side indicators, self-canceling indicators, etc are standard too. Many optional features like Triumph Shift Assist, side & top box, knuckle guards, rubber tank pad, frame protectors, etc can be had for a reasonable price as well.
6 Braking Performance Is Top-Notch For The Price
The 2022 Tiger Sport 660 is a motorcycle that could easily clock a top speed of close to 130 mph and is reasonably heavy too. Hence, it should need dependable and powerful braking hardware to anchor the motorcycle down from speeds. Thankfully, Triumph has managed to implement the Nissin 2-piston sliding calipers with dual 310 mm petal disc for the front.

The steering is precise, and it could lean much better than the Kawasaki Versys 650. The Michelin Road 5 tires does justice to the well-calibrated tubular steel perimeter chassis as well. The rear end comes with the Showa mono-shock with remote preload adjustability, and the rider could easily set the rear suspension as he likes. When the rear shock is set to the stiffest setting, the motorcycle grips the road like it's on the rail.
4 Ride Quality Hasn't Seen Any Compromises
The Michelin Road 5 tires not only makes the Tiger Sport 660 an excellent handler. It is tuned well for riding through all the road conditions with utmost comfort too. To take comfort to an all-new level, the front & rear suspension is tuned to a neutral position as standard, which means it is neither too soft nor too hard.
As a result, the motorcycle could easily glide over the broken roads at slow speeds without transmitting anything to the rider or the pillion. As the speeds rise, the ride remains surprisingly flat. The high-speed stability is very composed too, and the motorcycle doesn't move around due to the crosswinds on the freeways.

The slightly rear-set footpegs of the Tiger Sport 660 make it quite comfortable for tall Americans, since it offers more than adequate legroom. Even the pillion rider would be happy with the position of the footpegs and the plush and well-bolstered seat. A grab handle is provided as well.

The 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 looks macho from all angles. Even though it is a middleweight touring motorcycle, Triumph has focused equally on both design and function, which cannot be said about all the rivals. Offered in three color combinations, the Tiger Sport 660 looks striking when viewed from the front due to the LED headlight, a massive windscreen, and the neat exhaust headers.
The side profile is highlighted by the well-integrated side boxes and a single top box, both of which are part of the Triumphs optional accessories list. The neat partial fairing, body-colored engine cowl, and the blacked-out engines add to the character. The rear end looks a bit watered down, especially in comparison to the front and the sides. However, the LED taillight and indicators and the short tail look decent.

Being a British marque, Triumph never compromised on the build quality of their motorcycles. The same ethos could be found in the 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660, which offers a much more premium experience, especially for an adequately low price of just over $9,000. The panels and other body parts of the Tiger Sport 660 feel solid and could easily last the abuse that it could be exposed to.
The switches and the levers are some of the areas where motorcycle manufacturers generally cut costs. However, this middleweight tourer couldn't be faulted for it. The paint quality is easily one of the best of the segment, and there is no orange peel anywhere. Most of the components are rubber mounted and that helps with eradicating vibrations too.
