The pickup truck market is one of the largest and most fierce segments in the United States, with plenty of contenders competing against each other. Pickup trucks have heavily evolved over the past decade. From being just a workhorse to a luxurious family vehicle, pickup trucks have proven their might, and hence, they are the most popular segment in the United States. While there are a bunch of companies offering great pickups like Ford, Toyota, GMC, and others, Chevrolet has been one of the strongest players in the market, and they offer a decent lineup of pickup trucks that buyers can choose based on their needs.

The Chevrolet Colorado has been a household name among pickup trucks and has done excellently since it replaced the Chevrolet S10 in 2004. However, the second-generation Colorado started falling behind its rivals because of its older design and powertrain.

Finally, this year, Chevrolet has introduced the revamped Colorado pickup, and they have designed the whole truck from the ground up. Both the exterior and interior have been redesigned, and it looks modern and sleeker now. Let's have a detailed look at its interior and its new features below.

Colorado has always been a capable workhorse in the market, and it has appeased buyers since it arrived in the market. However, the time has changed. In fact, the truck culture has changed over the last five-six years, and buyers now want a truck with not only robust capabilities but also one which doubles up as a family car. That’s where Chevy’s Colorado had lagged in the previous years, despite being a capable machine. It fared well in offering power and towing goods but lagged in offering a decent cabin like its nearest rivals.

This year, Chevy has decided to redesign Colorado from the ground up, and we must say, Colorado long deserved this makeover. The redesigned cabin now looks fantastic and is roomier. The quality of materials shows drastic improvement. They are durable, offer a nice feel, and manage to provide an appealing personality. The dashboard design looks rugged, but we also found it quite modern, though not sleek. Most of the cabin parts are adorned with soft-touch materials, and they look and feel upscale. In addition, the dashboard and door trims are decorated with accented red or yellow stitching, which gives a sporty look.

The dashboard looks more modern. Although it mainly incorporates the wide-slab screen design primarily, Chevy chose to keep the screen divided for better accessibility and functionality. In the cockpit, the driver now has an 8- or 11-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.3-inch multimedia touchscreen in the center of the dashboard. Below, the dashboard offers plenty of control buttons and two rotary knobs, which are ergonomically laid out and easy to understand. In addition, the flagship ZR2’s dashboard is decorated with unique Artemis trim and yellow stitching, making it look sportier and more upscale.

Along with the redesigned cabin, Chevrolet has also outfitted Colorado’s cabin with a set of new seats. The 2023 Colorado will only be available as a crew cab model, and all the models will offer seats for five passengers. Just like the previous years, the front side will feature a pair of bucket seats, but now the front seats offer 40.3-inches of headroom and 45.2-inches of legroom as well as more cushioning for extended comfort during long work hours. The rear seats will offer 38.2-inches of headroom and 34.7-inches of legroom. Hence, Colorado will offer sufficient space and comfort even at the back as well.

The lower models like the WT, LT, and the new Trail Boss model will feature premium cloth seats, while the upper models like the Z71, ZR2, and ZR2 Boss will feature perforated leather seats as standard equipment. While we don't know what features Chevy will include in the front seats, we're guessing the LT and Trail Boss will have heated seats. The higher models, like the Z71 and ZR8, will come standard with power-adjustable front seats with heating and cooling functions, thigh and lumbar support, as well as memory settings.
