Doug DeMuroDoug DeMuro is a man who loves his quirks and features. He regularly dives deep into the coolest features of some of the current crop of cars, as well as a few classics, too. Recently, Toyota revealed the pretty epic GR Corolla. And now, there is an even more crazy edition out, which is the Morizo Edition. This takes the GR Corolla to another level, and Doug gets into some of the quirks and features of this new car.

The Upcoming Toyota Hot Hatchback

The GR Corolla is of course the upcoming Toyota hot hatchback, but the Morizo Edition is the more extreme offering of the car. One of the biggest quirks straight away is the fact the car has no back seats, yet it does have back doors. That is a very unusual feature, although the removal of back seats for additional performance is no bad thing. Mini does the same thing with their GP ultimate performance model. But it's very unusual with the Corolla and its back doors. DeMuro points out that the car is also going to have a super limited production run.

Toyota is only going to offer this car in two colors, matte gray and pear white. But there are some more interesting features of this car as well. The wheels are wider than on the standard Corolla, meaning wider tires can get used on the car. Inside the Morizo Edition, there are actually holes in the headrests of the GR seats, for racing harnesses in case you want to take the car on the track. Another benefit of this special edition DeMuro says is that a lot of this interior is nicely trimmed in Alcantara. A nice little touch.

A Very Special GR Corolla

This is certainly quite the special edition of the GR Corolla and takes it to new heights. DeMuro points out there are no buttons for the rear windows in this car. That might hint at no roll-down windows for the back of the car, and not having the motors for those windows also saves some weight. With only 200 units planned, we can expect them to be in very high demand when they go on sale. And it looks like it will have a lot to offer too.
