The way the seats are arranged can be easily altered based on the number of passengers. This SUV has three rows, but they're not fixed in a certain configuration. The second row, being the middle row, could be either bench seating or captain’s chairs. However, this variable changes little, as both types of seats recline for passengers or fold forward to accommodate additional cargo.

The third row also slides as needed up to six inches to accommodate passengers, though it also reclines with available power-folding. This feature is fairly new to Sequoia, and that's not all it offers. An adjustable cargo shelf also comes with the adjustable third row, as the Cargo Shelf System was made to be flexible when it comes to storage and cargo.

This shelf can be removed as needed, or it can be set in a variety of storage positions that help account for any cargo brought on board, making the layout and design nimble and flexible. As a bonus, the first and second-row seats are heated and ventilated for further comfort.

The SR5 package also adds a hands-free power liftgate and standard second and third row manual sunshades. For the Capstone upgrade, luxury-grade, leather-trimmed seats adorn the interior to give passengers a more comfortable experience.

The 2023 Sequoia starts with an MSRP of $68,300 and comes in five grades: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone. Each grade is distinct with its impression, and the Capstone grade has never before been offered with Sequoia models.

However, although there are multiple grades offered, Toyota's design team made sure to streamline some features, so they would carry across all grades. One of the features is space, as all grades have a space surplus for carrying passengers and cargo.

Toyota wanted Sequoia to be versatile in its purpose, offering appeal for a night out on the town with multiple friends or picking up supplies while running errands. More space sometimes requires better handling, which is where the TRD sport package comes in.

The TRD sport package, available on the SR5 models, uses fancier wheels to support the interior when the Sequoia encounters rougher roads. Further, the interior with the TRD package involved gets a more distinct design, complete with aluminum pedals and a red button to start the vehicle. The Capstone upgrade adds chrome accents throughout the interior. as well.

Having incredible visibility was a goal for Toyota when designing the 2023 Sequoia. A Panoramic View Monitor shows a real-time display of both the SUV from the top down, as well as the immediate surrounding area.

Many cameras are installed, and they show numerous exterior angles that can be viewed from the digital display rearview mirror. In a first for Sequoia models, the mirrors also retract and extend as needed, which come in handy when hauling a trailer. Further, the 2023 Sequoia offers a panoramic moon roof to boost luxury comfort.

2023 Toyota Sequoia Is High On Technology Features

A lot of multimedia technology is a prominent feature within Sequoia's interior. The multimedia system that made its debut in Toyota Tundra makes its return here, complete with a touchscreen that comes in eight-inch or 14-inch versions. Either touchscreen is capable of controlling Toyota's new Audio Multimedia System, which uses new sight, touch, and voice activation technology to enhance the driving experience for its customer base.

Commands are voice-activated and allow the user to modify various settings within the interior, such as directions, audio controls, temperatures, and maps. Another feature is Bluetooth connectivity for users to link Apple Music and Amazon Music subscriptions into the Sequoia seamlessly. As mentioned before, the 2023 Sequoia has several various grades, and the SR5 Premium package includes a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia display.

Other models still have the standard 12.3-inch digital instrument display and Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), though. Platinum has its upgrades, Including a 14-speaker premium audio system, a Head-Up Display that comes standard, and wireless charging, which also comes standard with the premium package.

The Capstone upgrade also features acoustic glass in the front doors to try and shield drivers from outdoor noise, and it is the only Sequoia upgrade to offer that feature.
