You know, if you were ever really interested in wondering about the world in search of some pretty...interesting custom cars, you probably wouldn't have to go too far from here you to find them. Or at least a few of them. They are everywhere and it seems that there is not going to be any shortage of them in the near future.

When it really comes down to it, there are probably some pretty interesting custom cars just down the street from each and every reader here. Or at least somewhere in the respective towns of all the readers here. So, what you're going to find on this list are some varying degrees of customized cars and trucks. And there are quite a few degrees between some of these.

There are cars with simply just custom siding or silly spoilers. Some have custom wrap or paint jobs. Some have custom wheels. Others have some pretty intense custom accessories and there is even one that has its own custom apartment...which is pretty wild if you ask me (which no one will be able to do as I'm simply the writer). Given all of that, I think it's time to dig into some of these crazy customizations from around the world.

24 The Cedar Rocket

TheDrive .com

Ok, to be honest here, while this is most certainly a custom car, it definitely didn't start out as another car. This is simply a big chunk of cedar with a completely custom-built chassis with a special engine and some jet propulsion (or so it seems at least). I'm not sure what caused someone to do this to a tree but it does make for an interesting custom car, that's for sure. I imagine it would suck for this to overheat though. It's a little flammable.

23 Crazy Concept

YouTube.com

Alright, so...somehow this was once a concept car for some company that will remain nameless right here for reasons that should probably be obvious. Either way, one cannot deny that this is indeed a very interesting piece of machinery. The fact that the car has a double bubble and is a 6x6 makes the thing pretty darn special. I'd like to be able to tell you just what the hood ornament is but I am not really sure other than the fact that it is certainly obstructing the view.

22 Car Of Many Colors

Sub5Zero.com

Well, if nothing else you can't really say that this car isn't vibrant and out there. It looks as though it has a horn system up top and I can only imagine just what tune the car horn plays.

Apart from that, there seems to be some interesting and likely impractical wiring and piping that must be for nothing more than decoration.

And who could not notice this car and its almost pastel-like paint job? As far as custom cars go, this one certainly stands out.

21 The Duck Truck

Pinterest.com

Well, I'm not quite fully sure just what truck is sitting underneath all of this custom design but no one can really deny that this is an overwhelmingly custom-designed vehicle. This is perhaps the epitome of the redneck lifestyle but put in the form of a truck. The barn window shutter look to the hatch on the back, the duck carved out of wood, all of the faux-wood plating, the camo accents around all of the trim and more. This is a pretty exciting truck. I hope not actually used for hunting though because it must make a pretty loud noise.

20 Need A Lift?

AutoGuide.com

Now, to be fair, there can be some pretty awesome trucks that have a lift job. I was riding in a lifted Mazda truck just the other day and aside from the camo accents along the trim, it was a lot of fun to be that high up and know that you tower over pretty well every other vehicle (even if you're half the size of an F-150). But, I have to say that this lift job might be just a touch too much.

19 Limo 6x6

CarGurus.com

This is certainly an interesting care to turn into a 6x6 and therefore turn into a limo of sorts. And this limo is complete with two sunroofs and all sorts of window exposure for the people riding in there.

Unfortunately for them, there is not any sort of tint at all so there is no real privacy.

And that color on the car is not exactly the most classy of colors. If nothing else, I guess people may not spend much time looking at it...though it is pretty interesting.

18 Lower It Down

Pinterest.com

This is a pretty cool-looking tow truck but I have to say that I think there might just be a bit of an issue if this specific truck were to tow anything. Take a look at just how low this truck has been brought down. It already looks like the wheels must rub against the body to some extent. Imagine adding the weight of a car or truck behind it! It looks cool but it might be just a little impractical.

17 Mad Max?

Pinterest.com

This is a wonderfully old-school truck with a whole world of new school design. This is a very interesting mix of steampunk and Mad Max.

I'm almost shocked that this truck appears to be street-legal.

It seems that the driver's view is somewhat obstructed, and the stacks coming out of each side (while I'm not sure they are actually active exhaust) are pretty darn high up there. I mean, don't get me wrong, this is a very cool-looking truck but I just worry about it being legal.

16 Pickup-Based-Ferrari-Looking Thing

TheDrive.com

You may not necessarily know just by looking at this strange and intriguing car but this actually has the base of a little pickup. Of course, it's been dropped right down and has got some...interesting paneling that seems to suggest that the owner just really wanted to have a Ferrari-looking outfit for a vehicle without paying upwards of $200,000. And who could blame that sort of thinking? If I could have a Ferrari for only a few grand. I certainly can't say that I would be able to turn it down.

15 The Pickup Car

via youtube

Alright...well, no one can say that this truck...car...truck isn't interesting. I mean, look at it! It's a car...but it's a truck...and it's an upside-down truck car. I don't know whatever possessed this owner to get such a custom job done to ride around town but there is no denying that it would certainly turn heads. I mean, who wouldn't be at least a little confused when seeing an upside-down truck driving along? And then to find out that it's actually just a car...It's pretty hilarious and would definitely make for a good practical joke.

14 Poke-Lambo

AutoGuide.com

Who here wishes that they had a Lamborghini Aventador? I know that I would definitely love to have one of these bad boys in the garage that I don't own. That being said, if ever I was going to actually purchase one of these (which I would never be able to afford) I can tell you that I would certainly not get this custom Pikachu job done to it. I mean to each his or her own but I don't know that I could make a Pokemon-themed Lambo of any sort. I won't deny that it's a talking piece though.

13 Smart ForTwo 6x6 Pickup

Motor1.com

I never imagined in my wildest or lamest dreams that some sort of custom creation like this would ever come to fruition.

In case you are too stunned to really take in just what you're looking here with this very interesting creation, this is indeed a Smart ForTwo 6x6 pickup.

I mean, I guess any storage added to the back is helpful to some degree since there is no storage in the standard Smart ForTwo. I'm not sure about that spoiler added to the tailgate though. I'm not sure it suits.

12 Sparkle

AutoGuide.com

Sparkle and shine everyone! Well, at least sparkle. There is not all that much shine going on with this car but there is certainly a very interesting custom sparkle job. It really gives the body of the car a coarse sort of look. Almost as if you were to run your hand along the body of the car you would sort of feel a sandpaper-like quality to it. I don't know if that is really the case though. I have to say that I like the red stripe with matching rag top running through the middle of the car.

11 Spoiled...

FastMachines.com

Anyone who has read any of my previous articles will know that I have a bit of a distaste for spoilers. Now, this might not seem like much of a custom job but I can guarantee you that the spoiler on this Smart car did not come standard with the purchase. And, like most spoilers, it has indeed spoiled this car somewhat. That being said, I think considering that this is a Smart car, any little sporty addition has got to make it a bit more streamlined and a bit more appealing to the eye. So I guess this is an improvement.

10 Star-Spangled

BangShift.com

This might no look like a regular pickup from the start. It sort of looks a bit like a buggy with jacked suspension massive plating under the tail lights and several stacks that surely can't all be tied into the exhaust.

But this is actually just a typical pickup with a massive amount of additions.

Look at the tank under the passenger seat! And it's not like driving around a star-spangled awesome truck like this would go unnoticed by anyone. It sort of screams like a true 'Merican eagle for attention!

9 Woodworking

MotorheadMama.com

Alright, I'll be honest here, there really isn't all that much that has been customized on this one but that customization that has been done is surely intriguing, even if you don't like the look of it. I'm not fully sure what the owner of this van was trying to accomplish but I certainly am interested in knowing. The wood paneling is clearly not real, but I almost wish it was and I think that's why I added this guy. Imagine if that was real wood used for the siding of this van!

8 Fruity And Loopy

AdventureRider.com

Well, the person who wanted this done to their car might be a bit loopy but that doesn't mean that the car isn't pretty awesome.

I mean, anyone who grew up in the 80s and 90s will get at least some bit of nostalgic pleasure when looking at this very interestingly-designed custom car.

I mean, just look at those wheels. I sort of wish that they had done up the wheels with each color of the little pieces of cereal but we can't always get what we want, can we?

7 Gold Plating

EVGAForums.com

Somehow, I think that this car would have gone pretty well with Bruno Mars' latest album "24K Magic." For obvious reasons, I think. Now, I'm not too sure about the blue ragtop but this car has got to turn heads everywhere it goes. And I don't think the head-turning would necessarily be because of the fact that this whole thing has this gold-plated look. No, I think heads would turn because of the massive amount of glare this car must cause when the sun hits it!

6 Lifted Cart

ActionBuggies.com

Ok, this is almost too much for me. I don't know if you've ever really taken a golf cart out for a spin along the course, all I'm going to say is that it is pretty easy to flip one of these guys over. Now, maybe you want to be able to see the course better and that is the reason for lifting the car, or maybe you think a boosted suspension would really help with handling a golf course but all I can think of here is that this cart is just begging to be flipped. Just make sure to go straight up a hill and don't cut across it...

5 Truck Auction

YouTube.com

This is just a beast, right here. There is something about this pickup/hotrod that really makes me smile. There is a lot more to it that really makes me wonder just what is going on here but that hardly matters because it is just a very interesting custom car that went up for auction to raise money for a fire department. If they need to buy a new truck, why not sell a jacked up vehicle like this one to get the dollars to do it? Just look at that engine and that massive grill at the front. Awesome.
