The main star of the show is the upgraded stock turbo. By reinforcing the stock turbo, you get more power while still keeping a lot of the character of the original car. Big turbo kits tend to drastically change how a car feels, so it is nice to see that has not changed much. Having 300 whp in a lightweight body is not too bad either.
The upgraded exhaust system has a very nice deep tone without being too much. Like many big turbo kit cars, this Fiesta ST makes a great air induction noise from the turbo while accelerating.
A typical short shifter kit is also added making the gears feel more precise. The car also features lowering springs but does not affect the ride quality very much according to David.
Like most front-wheel drive cars with decent power, torque steer is inevitable. However, with the upgraded sticky tires, the torque steer is manageable and makes it part of the fun.
Return Of The Ford Fiesta ST
While Ford discontinued the Fiesta for the US market as of 2019, they still sell the next-generation Ford Fiesta and ST variants in other markets.
If the US market produces enough demand for Ford's pocket rocket, the return of the Fiesta is a strong possibility.
