Spyros Panopoulos Automotive has been working on its new hypercar for a while now, and while much of the project remains shrouded in mystery, a few new details have leaked out. We already knew that the car, dubbed “Chaos,” will produce 3,000 horsepower, but we know the vehicle’s chassis will be made from a material used by NASA and Formula 1 racers.
Under The Hood
This thing really is pure chaos housed in a vehicle shell. It will be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V10 producing up to 3,000 horsepower when running on E85 fuel. That power will be sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that’ll push the car from 0-62 mph in under two seconds. Therefore, it’ll redline all the way to 12,000 rpm. For those who think that’s too much power, but still feel the need to buy this Greek hypercar, there will also be a 2,000 horsepower version available.
Zylon Chassis
Chaos will truly be the first of its kind and a space age tech vehicle. It’ll be the world’s first production car to have a chassis monocoque created from Zylon ply, which happens to be the world’s strongest man-made fiber. If you’re wondering who else uses this insanely strong material, look to NASA and Formula One, who both use it because of its low weight, high tensile strength, and thermal properties.
When, Where, How Much?
Unfortunately, we aren’t even going to be able to see what Spyros Panopoulos Automotive’s Chaos looks like for several more months. The car is currently set to debut at the 2021 Geneva Motor Show. As for the price, we’re sure it’s gonna be steep, but exact numbers have yet to be revealed.
