The 1962 model of the Chevrolet Corvette represents the final year for the first generation of the car. While that is nearly 60 years ago, examples of this classic Corvette are quite difficult to find. Here is an up-for-sale example of a 1962 Corvette Roadster that is not only pristine looking, but also features 375 hp of max output.

Finding a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster as good-looking as this would be a tough task. But Re-tired Klassics, an Edmonton, Washington-based classic car dealer, has listed this example for sale on eBay. With a VIN 20867S101375, this 1962 Corvette Roadster is still in good running condition. The current owner has this car in possession since a year and a half ago, having driven this for just around 30 miles.

This custom C1 Corvette comes powered by a 296-ci "65" big block engine with Corvette B.B. valve covers (delivering 375 hp) as paired to Muncie four-speed transmission with a Hurst shifter. A 1970s GM intake, Holley dual feed carburetor, a "like new" generator, and a new two-fan custom radiator headline the components underneath this classic.

Per the eBay listing, this 1962 Corvette Roadster has retained 90% of its original paint (Roman red finish with Al Knock white top). All its bumpers have been re-chromed along (with license bracket) with other exposed parts painted with POR-15 for rust protection. It rides on mint original Cragar wheels (front: 15 x 5 Cragars) shod with new Hoosier D.O.T. 10.50 15's tires. It has T3 headlights, wiper motor.

Inside, this roadster seems like new with its new seat covers, foam and carpet as well as new dash lights, heater system, core, control valve and hoses. The gauges and the Wonder Bar radio still work. The cabin has received full soundproofing with Kitmat 80 mil.

The seller wants at least $57,950 for this classic roadster, although a trade for stock 1955 Chevrolet Post would also suffice. Built for cruising, according to the seller, this 375-hp roadster also looks ready for some drag racing.
