8 Ferrari SP12 EC - Eric Clapton
Eric Clapton is an English celebrity whose career in the music industry has spanned well over half a century. He also happens to be an avid car collector and with a dollar net worth running into hundreds of millions, he can pretty much afford any car he wants.
That was why he once approached Ferrari Special Projects and commissioned them to build him a one-off Ferrari supercar. The car was officially known as the SP12 EC; the 'EC' being a clear reference to the musician's name. The car was inspired by the 1970s Ferrari 512 BB and utilized a Ferrari 458 Italia as the base platform.
7 Ferrari 365 GTC - Adam Levine
A few years ago, Adam Levine—frontman of the band Maroon 5—was spotted cruising around Hollywood in his black Ferrari 365 GTC. It caused quite a stir then as the Ferrari 365 GTC is a rare model from the Prancing Horse.
Only 150 units of the car were built during a production run that only lasted from 1968 to 1970. What's more? Even fewer were factory-finished with black paint. Adam is a Ferrari lover and has partnered officially with the brand for a charitable cause in the past.
6 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO - Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren is one of the biggest names in the designer fashion industry today. The businessman has built an empire that has made him billions of dollars. It has also allowed him to engage in one of his passions—car collecting.
His private garage includes some of the most exclusive cars on the planet like the iconic Ferrari 250 GTO, a car that holds the record for the most expensive private car ever sold. The car was originally conceived in the early '60s as a racecar and by the time the production run ended in 1964, only 36 units had rolled off the assembly line.
5 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta - Gordon Ramsay
You won't find too many LaFerraris around; only 499 were units were made and sold to carefully selected buyers. The Aperta version is rarer still, limited to a run of about 210 cars. They were all already sold out by the time the car made its debut at the 2016 Paris Auto Show.
The buyers were on an invite-only basis and Gordon Ramsay, a celebrity chef and Ferrari enthusiast, was one of the lucky customers. He opted for a Pearl Whitecoat for his LaFerrari Aperta and has been spotted out in public on a few occasions with the V12 hypercar.
4 Lamborghini Miura P400 - Jay Leno
Jay Leno's car collection is a car enthusiast's paradise; his private garage includes some of the most desirable cars ever made. It is a collection that houses the legendary Lamborghini Miura.
The V12 supercar was unveiled to the public in 1966 and is widely regarded as the first true supercar. Leno acquired the car from a friend who bought the car from someone else in a broken state and was discouraged by the extremely high cost of fixing the car. According to the story, the friend simply handed it over to Leno who was able to fix it, and now the 1-of-275 Miura P400 is among the favorite cars in the collection.
3 Lamborghini Diablo VT - Rod Stewart
The Diablo was the last supercar built by Lamborghini before its acquisition by Audi. It had its debut in 1990 and 3 years later, the Diablo VT variant was launched. The Diablo VT, limited to a run of fewer than 400 vehicles, came with a new drivetrain system that greatly improved the handling of the big V12 supercar.
The Lamborghini Diablo is loud and brash with very aggressive styling and a savage V12 powerplant to boot. It's the perfect car for a rock star's image and it's not too surprising that Sir Rod Stewart, a British Rock and Pop singer, once owned a yellow Diablo VT.
2 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ63 Roadster - Jorge Lorenzo
Jorge Lorenzo is a well-known name within the racing community. A veteran motorbike racer who also happens to be a three-time MotoGP world champion. He hung up his racing gloves in 2019 but that does not mean his love for life in the fast lane has diminished.
In June 2020, the racing champion acquired the exclusive Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster. As implied by the name, only 63 units of the car were made in reference to the year the company was founded. The V12 supercar boasts an impressive 759 hp; enough to rocket the car to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds and on to a 217 mph top speed.
1 Lamborghini LM002 - Michael Strahan
Michael Strahan had a successful 15-year career in the NFL before he successfully transitioned into the media sector. In 2014, he was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in recognition of his contribution to the sport. Michael also has an enviable car collection that includes modern marvels like the Ford GT and McLaren Senna.
However, one of the most unusual cars in his garage has to be the Lamborghini LM002. According to Michael, he had one back when he was a footballer but then sold it. He later regretted the decision and it took him years before he could find another. Today, though, he has two—one red, one black—and has no plans of selling them anytime soon.
