The Dodge Challenger is quite the classic car, and even 50 years later, is still capturing the imagination of all and sundry. Like Instagram user Timothy Adry Emmanuel, who goes by the username adry53customs.

Emmanuel calls himself a 3D artist, automotive visualizer, and an American muscle car enthusiast, and he just rendered a beautiful blown 426 Hemi 1970 Dodge Challenger.

A Magnificent 426 Hemi Blown 1970 Dodge Challenger

A 1970 Dodge Challenger is not easy to come by, and even if it is, it isn’t cheap. This was the very first model of the Challenger to hit the muscle car market, and it came a bit too late in the day, lasting only from 1970 to 1974.

Ask any classic muscle car fan, and they’ll admit that having a classic 1970 Dodge Challenger can be quite the delight. And for most classic car lovers, it’s the ultimate thrill. Muscle car purists like it as it is. But not for Emmanuel, who imagined a rather wonderful blown-up version of the same. He said so, a bit irreverently in his Instagram post well. Said Emmanuel, “Means another ruined classic” and then joked, “chill out grandpas all of these are 3d rendering so no need to freak out.”

He explained the car is “a stock style fender widened and raised. It’s a 1970 Dodge Challenger, 426 Hemi Blown with a barndoor butterfly scoop on top. “

According to Emmanuel, it’s a Pro streetcar and the perfect daily driver. And sure, many used the '70 Challenger as a daily driver back then.

Emmanuel did make it look good with a massive supercharger on top that could put Dom’s Dodge Charger R/T from the Fast & Furious to shame. And that polished paint, near mirror-like in its creation, is another thing to marvel at.

The Dodge Challenger debuted in 1969 for the 1970 model year and rode on the Chrysler E-body platform, along with the Plymouth Barracuda. Technically, it was a bit of a late response by Dodge/Chrysler to the popularity of the Ford Mustang. But even if it had a short life, it seemed to have an exciting one, and it's revered as a classic today.

Getting a Hemi 426 is not all that easy anymore though, considering many of them are well worth over $100,000, but rendering one using graphic art is easy enough.

Fans loved Emmanuel’s rendering, with one saying, “Is it good that I can hear an engine rumbling in my head when I see this?”
