Ferrari is usually a symbol of style combined with performance. The Maranello-based company has blessed the world with a lot of classics that are considered by many, some of the most beautiful cars ever produced. From the fifties to this day, each decade had at least one Ferrari that became instantly an icon. For over 70 years the automaker has been a close synonym of class.

However, even the Italian company has created some awful models through the years, very few ones but also very distinctively ugly. These models have probably faded in people's memory as for every ugly car it is produced, Ferrari also created 1o works of art.

Even one of the most brilliant designers in automotive history can get it wrong, and the 575 GTZ is clearly not one of  Zagato's best works. The color and the design of the car were meant to be an homage to the fantastic 250 GT Berlinetta Zagato; however, the final product is not even near to the standard of beauty that the 250 Gt has accustomed fans around the world.

It was a redesign of the very popular 575 Maranello however, it is not clear what Ferrari was thinking as the final product is far from memorable.

Ferrari means power, thrill, and adventure. The Mondial 8 lacks all these key aspects. It had a tiny V8 that generated barely over 200 horsepower and it took 9.5 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph, an eternity.

When this tragic model came out, it had a starting price of over $60,000, which was twice the price of a Porsche 930 turbo. The car not only was slow and unreliable, but it was not even nice to look at. One of the very few flops of the legendary automaker.

Not a lot of people have probably heard of this model as it was a concept car that never came to life, and maybe that is for the best. It was created in 1980 as Enzo Ferrari wanted to produce the first four-door Ferrari.

The concept car was also created in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pininfarina studio. The front grill and the squared look are far from the best designs that came out from Ferrari and Pininfarina collaborating together. However, Ferrari recently gave another try to a four-door project and came out with the fantastic GTC4 Lusso.

This is another Ferrari which is painful to look at. The car shares the name with the iconic Dino 246 GT which was created in honor of Enzo Ferrari's son who died at 24. However, the two models were nothing alike. The 308 GT4 was incredibly slow, for a Ferrari, as it had a 2-liter that produced only 168 horsepower and reached 136 mph.

It was sold with a 'Dino' badge in order to highlight the fact that the car was not powered by a V12. The 308 Gt4 was never really accepted as a true Ferrari.

It is still a mystery to this day how this car was able to stay in production for 17 years and be renamed three different times during this period. This car came from the 365 GT4 2+2, however, it was faster as it could reach 155 mph and it was supported by a V12.

The 412 due to its weight was quite slow, making it an excellent city car but very far from Ferrari supercars standards. To add insult to injury, it had an awful 3-piece transmission that was used by GM for heavy-duty trucks.

The name is perfect because it is simple and it clearly states what you are looking at: a work of art that is not afraid to display its power, a Ferrari. This is the first car ever produced by the automaker that has the F-1 derived hybrid.

The grand total is 963 horsepower that pushes this monster to a top speed of 220 mph with an acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in under 3 seconds.

The car can be described with one single word: sublime. The car was designed by Pininfarina, who was able to build a graceful and absolutely stunning design that made this car, art on wheels. The Dino was powered by a V6 that produced 192 horsepower and pushed the car to a top speed of 146 mph.

Two years ago, at an auction a Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for $38 million, making it the most expensive car ever sold. This trivia fact should put into perspective how legendary this car is. It was in production from 1962 to 1964 and it was powered by one of the most powerful V12 ever seen as it produced 300 horsepower and it pushed the car to a top speed of 174 mph.
