The system is built into the engine control unit and works by recognizing a unique code in the vehicle's authorized key or smart key fob. So, if someone tries to short-circuit the ignition on your ride, or use another key, the engine will simply refuse to start.

Having your car valet-parked can save you the trouble of walking from a distant parking spot, especially if you are carrying something heavy. On the flip side, however, there are certain risks involved each time you exchange your car key for a valet ticket.
Items in the storage compartment could be stolen or tampered with, or valets may be tempted to have a taste of the power under 765LT's throttle. When activated, the valet function disables access to storage compartments and also limits the maximum speed of the vehicle.

Before the luggage compartment can be opened, 2 conditions must be satisfied - the vehicle has to be stationary and in neutral. When you press the cargo release button on your key fob, the luggage space will unlock and pop open slightly.

1 We Dislike: Perimeter Alarm
This system, using sensors, detects a difference in mass or motion near the vehicle and sets off the vehicle alarm. Although it is a necessity when you consider the huge price tag and the rarity of the 765LT, it comes with many issues.
There have been instances where the alarm goes off by itself or it might be set off deliberately by kids for fun. Due to its sensitivity, the alarm can be set off by thunder or even by a cat strolling by - a big nuisance especially at night.
