American muscle car enthusiasts with families now have something to smile about. It comes with three rows of seats and a whopping 710 hp with your foot down on the throttle. The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is an SUV on steroids for the entire family. R/T Life, through its YouTube channel, released a short preview video of a Dodge Durango Hellcat owned by a guy in New York.

“So, you traded the Durango R/T for the Hellcat, so, how come you skipped over the 390 tail?” R/T Life asked. The Durango Hellcat owner replied: “So, when I got the R/T, the 392 was just coming out, and I got a super deal on it.”

He was planning on getting a wrecked Hellcat and putting the Hellcat engine in the R/T just to be unique. But when Dodge announced the Durango SRT Hellcat, it was a no-brainer, especially after driving the R/T for four years.

The 2021 Dodge Durango comes with a 6.2-liter V8 making 710 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. The powerhouse is mated to an 8-speed automatic, directing that juice to all four wheels. In addition, the Durango Hellcat comes stock with an enhanced exhaust system that gives off a unique, amplified thunder.

“You were one of the first people to get this?” R/T Life asked. “In New York, that I know of, yeah. The only other guy that I know got it before me was ECDM. He got that silver one, East Coast Durango Media. But as far as he and I, those are the only two guys I know with one in New York City,” the Durango Hellcat owner responded.

His new Durango SRT Hellcat only has 646 miles on it. Nevertheless, he uses it daily for work and the family even though it can do 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, the same as a Challenger SRT Redeye.

“Do you love it?” R/T Life asked. “Love it,” Durango Hellcat owner responded. “Money well spent. Love it for a family guy who is also a car guy. I can’t think of anything else.”
